Finished up Deepholm last night, stuck my nose in Uldum (just the caravan/escape quests) and ran Stonecore a couple of times.
When I finished Deepholm I picked up the Therazine tabard to go with my Earthen Ring tabard. I only noticed last night that the Horde faction tabards (for instance Bilgewater) will give you rep in any dungeon, but the Cata faction tabs only give you rep in level 85 dungeons. I wasted two runs in SC before I realized I wasn’t getting any rep, when I could have been getting Horde rep (I never did Argent Tourney on this toon so I’m not exalted with any of the Horde races).
One of the dungeon runs was 4/5 guildies but we had to pug a tank. Come on Doggies, level your tanks!
I did get in and tank for guildies (also 4/5 with one pug, a warlock, who did a good job cc’ing the elementals but a not-so-great job keeping his imp from breaking Makig’s (hunter) traps open). But yeah, been kind of antisocial in the game so far.
Speaking of tanks, where the hell are the tank trinkets? I’ve now replaced every other piece of equipment, including a lot of it multiple times over, and every four or five quests I see a new piece that would have replace my old Wrath gear. And I’ve even seen a couple of dps trinkets drop; enough to fill out my nominal DPS set. But I’m still using my old Frost and Triumph badge tanking trinkets.
Any of you 85 tanks want to tell me where you got your trinkets from?
Sorry about that, I had planned to tank on Reins but I got yanked into Blackwing Decent to offtank. I’ll do my best to be there next time!
I don’t have them but there’s a stamina trinket off the last boss in Stonecore, an avoidance trinket from the big giant boss in Grim Batol, there’s also one in Throne of Tides. There’s one or two I’m missing but I can’t remember what they are. Be prepared to roll against DPS for them though, unless you’re running with guildies.
The Dark Lady is many things but a chump?? She died fighting the Lich King while defending her homeland, a fight many would have run from. After being tortured, mutilated and raised as a slave she bided her time and eventually plotted her escape. She got her revenge on the thing that tortured her and now she leads a force that is not only holding their homeland from all opposing forces she’s actively expanding into other territories. For the Horde of course ahem. Yes she was almost hoodwinked by a plot from within but she still on top today is she not? She’s many things, heartless, ruthless and obsessive to name a few, but a chump no.
But most importantly do you know what she is? She’s our Queen. As someone at Wow Insider put it:
Maybe at his level. In the cata zones it’ll minimize downtime, but you still have to be careful with your pulls or you’ll die quite easily (my 85 rogue’s evasion, battle readiness, and vanish seem to be always on CD, particularly during the TH Dragonmaw dailies).
I keep getting these emails and was wondering if it’s a scam (it seems like an obvious scam to me):

I’m not trying to sell my account or anything of the sort…simply playing my character as usual. The email address at the bottom looks legit, but the URL for the site I’m supposed to go to doesn’t look right. Plus they are asking me to put in some pretty sensitive info (account creds, secret question/answer).
And did run from. And hid behind a wall. For a decade. Until they turned into dogs. But then the elves came around and waved a magic stick at them, so now they’re all better and not about to turn back into slavering beasts and murder their new friends nosirree.
In addition to the 5-man tanking trinket mentioned, there is a stam trinket near the very end of the Twilight Highlands quests (about 5 quests after you get the zone quests achievement). That’s the only one I have, so I’m still using an ICC one for the other.
And yeah, when the Stonecore heroic one dropped and I was there as DPS I soooo wanted to roll need… but the tank was a guild-mate.
[del]Actually, mouseover shows that this site has parsed the link correctly so that it actually goes to Blizzard’s website. I’m sure it shows a different link if he were to mouseover that URL on the actual email.[/del]
Whoops! You meant the first link. I don’t know about that one…it LOOKS plausible, but that may be, again, this site parsing the text xtisme pasted to the right link.
It’s my Alliance toon. I’m still conflicted over whether to transfer to Cairne so I can send heirlooms to my BDL Horde alt or to go over to Alex and join Quasi’s guild.
I tried it out and indeed the URL goes somewhere else than it’s listed. Definitely a scam. Not that I would have gone there and put in that information in any case.
Unless you’re an Enchanter who’s looking to level your own skills, I wouldn’t bother enchanting anything lower than a 333 Rare. And you might even want to wait for 346 Rares, which are what you get out of Heroics and from the JP vendor.
I don’t remember Oily Blackmouth or Firefin Snappers coming out of anything but saltwater. I’d see them along the coasts, but never in a river or lake.
Sure I do, if I notice it. But if I’m pulling and somebody’s saying something that I don’t identify as being urgent?
Oh god, those fucking frightened animals? Most. Obnoxious. Fucking. Quest. Ever. Even the god-damned Frenzyheart gave you a net to catch the damned chickens with.
Alchemy, Jewelcrafting, and boss drops. There are some decent BOEs, too, I think, like the… oh crap, what’s it called. Somethingornother Reply, the icon looks like a punch card.
Uuuuuuuuuugh, never ever ever *ever **ever ***do that. Update your antivirus right now and run a full scan. Then if that comes back negative, pick up at least one more scanner and run that. If you’re lucky, it was just a phishing site; if you’re unlucky, just *going *there infected you with a keylogger.
Yup to both points. I’ve gotten a couple of those emails on accounts that are not connected to my WoW account in any way. Oddly enough, I’ve never received one on the email account that is tied to my WoW account.
Wait…they do? You mean I’ve been killing myself on that damn daily quest trying to quick-click on 12 chickens who go out of their way to be the most annoyingly random pests possible unnecessarily?
