I usually Google for them, then copy/paste the url that Google displays. If you need to verify or quote from the resource, you can go to the Google cached page. All the WoW-dedicated websites are blocked here, too, under “Games”.
At 84, head to Garrosh’s hut in Orgrimmar. He and one of his advisors should both offer quests disciplining goblins around Org and Azshara in preparation for a military advance into Twilight Highlands. I don’t remember exactly which other NPC besides Garrosh, I just remember two distinct chains leading into TH from Org.
The other NPC is Someone the Mystic (can’t remember the actual name) right beside the steps up to Garrosh’s throne. The actual original breadcrumb quest comes from the message board in front of Garrosh’s hall, though.
Thank you, I’m feeling better about the state of my brain. Yes, I do “click” as a healer but because I use Clique (it used to be on Grid, now it’s on the default raidframes) and Decursive. I’ve got three whole bars worth of keybinds (1-¡ on the main bar, the same with alt on bottom left, shift for bottom right), with the most used keys always having a number between 1 and 5. Tab (or better, having people/mobs pre-targetted) kicks the ass out of having to try and weave the mouse around to click on a bouncing toon. That doesn’t mean I always start a fight straightaway, but that’s usually linked to having MD on cooldown and wanting to let the tank build aggro (or I was taking a sip).
Now to get my Innocent Face out and ask what that was about.
I vaguely recall it being an either/or thing. Accepting the message board quest caused Garrosh’s quest to become unavailable (I guess they sent you to the same place?) and vice versa. I didn’t read carefully enough to see if they were the exact same thing, I just figured it’d be better to get it from the actual warchief instead.
Thanks, I’ll check those links when I get home. I’m assuming there’s a dungeon boss somewhere who drops some, I just need to look and see who that is.
Greaves of Wu the Younger drop off High Prophet Barim in Lost City of the Tol’vir there’s an Heroic version too. Also in heroic Vanessa VanCleef drops Guildmaster’s Greaves. If you’re Ramkahen - Honored you can get the iLevel 333 Drystone Greaves
Why yes I have been doing this very thing for my own holy pally over the last week why do you ask??
I just finished Uldum and stepped into TH last nght, so I think I’m remembering this right…the sequence goes: Message board quest to see Garrosh, Garrosh sends you to the goblin foreman near the Azshara gate, you inspect demolishers or whatever those are and beat up the goblin who built the bad one, then return to Garrosh, who says that the Mystic has a quest for you. Mystic sends you to interview a Dragonmaw orc who hangs out at the tavern in Valley of Honor. Then spoilery things happen that I’ll omit. It eventually ends up with Garrosh sending you to Bilgewater Harbor to do some other quests involving the ships and airships the goblins are building, then someone over there finally sends you to the zep tower at the southern terminus of the Rocketway and you start out for Twilight Highlands. Then you stand on the airship for seven minutes while things happen around you and Garrosh proves once again what an arrogant idiot he is before you finally get a chance to start doing things in the zone.
Ooh, I wonder what my Ramkahen rep will be after completing Uldum. Might be Honored by then. Thanks martu.
1.) That works for items when you know the name, but that doesn’t work for generating a URL that links to a specific search filter on Wowhead. Unless I were to memorize all of the various URL codes, which I’m not gonna.
2.) No, I can’t go to the Google cache page. I used to be able to, but now they’ve found a way to block those, too.
I wouldn’t ever tell people that you click, then, because you don’t. A clicking healer would (a) click someone to select them as their target then (b) click a button on their bar to cast a spell on them. That’s very different from what you do, which is simply a different type of keybinding.
How are you finding healing with the new default raid frames, by the way? Personally I find them okay for five-mans, but I still use Grid for raids–for me, there’s just not nearly enough info on the default frames, and I can’t customized them nearly as well.
Yeah, it will be. (Muz is honored and the guild didn’t even have Mr. Popularity when he ran those quests.) If you’re in a hurry you can skip the Harrison Jones quests and the quests you get from the computer terminal (you’ll know it when you see it), which don’t give you any rep aside from guild rep.
ETA However, I feel obliged to point out that both of those quest trees are objectively awesome.
These words…I know all of them individually, but I can’t parse them when they’re put together like that…
I did a bunch of Jones quests already, down to exploring the underground cavern and getting the rope, and then the chain stopped. I assume I had to go back and complete some other quests first before I can continue with Jones.
Once you get the rope, Harrison should come up with a brilliant plan to pull down all the big statues because there are parts for the machine in their heads. Then you need to go collect all four heads and bring them to him, which he’ll use to activate the obelisk. Then that PART of the Harrison Jones questline is done. After that, he sends you to the Obelisk of the Sun, across the river. There are actually three “chapters” of Harrison Jones quests, plus an epilogue, all of which are easily the best quests in Uldum, with a hell of a payoff (in terms of enjoyment, anyway).
They’re quite good, though nothing beats the Katamari Damacy vehicle quest.
Well, nothing happened after I gave him the rope. I’ll go back there when I’m done with my current chain, now that he’s had time to think about it.
Ooh, yeah! Did that last night! That was too much fun.
Poke around - there are several quests in the Jones chain that you pick up off the ground or from item drops, and maybe one you need to kill something to start.
What. WHY DID I SKIP ULDUM?!
Answered your own question.
