Ah, you’ve reminded me of this charming little story I stumbled across several years ago:
Only accessable to Belves these days, though, I think. Didn’t Tauren Paladins get Pally Kodos?
Unfortunately, they’re only useful for turning wild, murderous wolf-people into sane wolf-people. And I’m pretty sure they kill most of the people who take them.
… So, um, maybe? ![]()
rage face
I just ran Sethekk Halls twice to get the Shadow Labyrinth key. I couldn’t find the coffer the first time and when I Googled it said coffer problems happen when you kill Ikiss too fast, so the second time I let my pet fight him. Still no coffer. So I went to WoWHead just to find that you don’t need the key any longer (since 4.0.1) which is why there is no coffer. Le sigh. Now to find out if it’s the same for all the BC dungeons.
You still have to go through the key quests from the A’dal in Shattrath for access to the Arcatraz, I think.
Speaking of which…where the hell did my keychain go? Was it bartender4 or the patch that did this?
I’ll chime in, since I play on a lolRP server. The treatment of lore in the RP playerbase is just as varied as that of the non-RP playerbase. You have some people who are purists, some people who bend it to fit whatever story they have for their toons, and some people who don’t give a rat’s ass (if you walk through Silvermoon with a character-profile addon installed, you can read that a startlingly large percentage of the elf players you see are actually DARGONZ in elf form ).
I guess my point is that despite what you’d expect, even the heavy RPers treat the lore with a huge grain of salt – necessarily so, since Blizzard plays extremely fast and loose with it as more content gets added. People get frustrated when they have to retcon their own characters so much to fit the official story, especially when it involves scores of pages of writing and years of emotional investment. Ironically, this leads to many RPers having the same LOLore attitude that many non-RPers have. My toon’s story is now canon – Blizz writers can go suck an egg.
Bartender hides it by default. You can bring it back in the options.
I’ll keep that in mind.
Clawdie, I mean.
I spoke with her and told her pretty much what I wrote here, that she needed her own mount, rather than be her own mount, and that I thought it was demeaning and unfair to have to watch her run like that.
Since she doesn’t speak English, she just mini-growled and snuffled a little and then she rubbed up against my legs, the way a cat does.
I think she understood how I feel.
While we’re on the subject, do y’all ever dream anout WoW and your toons, and if so, which toon do you dream of the most?
I have noticed that it’s whoever I’m working with on any given night. Sometimes it’s Wolkie and last night, since I was anxious to get her levelled (and later disappointed) it was Clawdie.
I need to get out more, right?
I know: Instead of saying I’m bat-shit all the time, we can just say “He went all Worgie on us.”
Which actually does sound like going crazy, doesn’t it?
Q
Y’all may not have seen it, as it was combined with another subject (I’m bad about that), but she’s trying to get at a keg of beer and these bad guys she has to fight keep knocking her sideways, and she tends to die a lot because I can’t get her turned around in time.
Is there an ability (which I may not have yet, at level 20) which will cancel that spell?
Thanks
Q
Woot! Cho’gall down!
And I really, really hate Al’akir. Apparently I suck at dodging tornadoes.
Cheers on Al’Akir! That fight can be frustrating, especially in P1 where the Lightning Fields can be brutal if they hit the same group multiple times in a row. I’m sure you’ll get Cho’gall down when your DPS realize they’re responsible for your wipes and no one else.
Cheers on Cho’gall! I do find it funny that you two killed opposite bosses and are having trouble with the one the other killed. Perhaps you two should share notes?
What quest is it, Quasi. I’m not recognizing it from what you’re describing.
Sorry, jayjay! It’s the Stolen Keg one in Wetlands…
And here’s something I just now noticed about Sugrfoot…
She ain’t got no boobage! ![]()
Huh!
I thought ALL WoW females had boobages?![]()
Thanks
Q
Okay, this is my last post regarding Clawdie on horseback, and aren’t y’all glad?
If she isn’t going to be allowed her own mount later, then don’t put her on one to chase quests.
The Gilnean/human part about her being a wolf at the time at the time she was bitten is tough to understand for someone like me, but then the game wasn’t designed for someone like me, was it?
I think that we as players are supposed to sympathize with the Wolgren as our willing allies, but there’s just too much we’re being asked to take for granted.
Someone didn’t take the time to think things through before putting the “APPROVED” stamp regarding them on Cataclysm.
I’m sorry, everyone, and I am the first to admit I’m handicapped when it comes to my beloved WoW, but if an idiot such as I sees a problem with my Clawdie having to run on all fours, then don’t y’all think that this might have been mentioned by other, more knowledgable than me, players before?
Long story short?
It was a shock, it really was, especially to someone who is as deeply involved with his characters as I am.
Thanks
Q
using the DF yesterday with my lvl 19 arcane mage.
1st time out, the tank is a fury warrior double wielding. I doubt he was even in defensive stance because I peeled mobs off him with my 1st spell. We kicked his ass after this kept happening and we actually looked at him.
Second one was a pally, but he must not have had righteous fury on cos same issue, also he was ninjaing cloth, leather, everything. However, we couldn’t kick him, so the feral druid dps went bear form to help tank. Eventually the pally dropped in a sulk and the druid changed role to tank, from where things went OK. It was only mauradon!
BTW, I thought mages were da bomb? Is that only at 85, because my comparitive dps so far isn’t amazingly great.
Sorry, Quasi…I don’t know that one. I haven’t done Cataclysm Wetlands yet at all.
Mauradon at 19? Did they lower it that much?
And for the ninja-ing - I don’t understand how that would work; I didn’t think pallies could roll Need on cloth or leather.
That is the one with the 4 serpent lords and then the dreamer?
Wailing Caverns. But now that you mention it, they are somewhat similar. Big sprawling caves.
