Earned enough Valor points today to upgrade from my 333 bracers on my resto shaman to the 378 bracers. Yay! Took forever to get there though. Jin’do the Groupbreak was the last boss I needed to beat for the final Valor Points. We went through 3 tanks and 8 dps before we finally got him down. 160G in repairs later, though, I have every piece now at 346 or higher! 
Woohoo and grats! I got my last upgrade to get me off 333’s permanently last night (Valor wand ftw!) and I sympathize about Jin’do. It always turns out for me that we get it on the first shot, or we wipe and lose members about 7-8 times. Apparently you really need the right combo.
And Quasi, good luck with the interview, man!
I really wish Blizzard would stop changing the benefits for killing rares. I managed to snag Ban’thalos, the rarespawn Spirit Beast bird that flies over Sanctuary of Malorne, and all it dropped was a bit of gold plus a vendor trash item that vendors for another 25g. The most depressing vendor item ever. Crystalline Tear of Loyalty: “The desire to serve as a loyal companion, coalesced into a single priceless crystal.” 
Yeah, I had that happen once. It made me very sad.
Wait. They gave two spells identical icons to make it *less *confusing?
Oh wow! I just checked my email, and I actually sent that nomination back on December 1, the last time they had an open call for submissions. I never heard back again, so I figured they weren’t going to do anything with it. That’s so awesome! Definitely let us know when it goes up–although I check WI pretty religiously, so I’m sure I won’t miss it. 
All the Cata rares just drop that item now. Blizzard wanted to be nice to us poor Huntards. 
That’s right, all other classes! You get nothing from killing rare tames now! Please leave them alone and respect their desires to become loyal companions!
I’m still struggling to find Terror[del]penis[/del]pene - I was hoping to grab him before 4.2 because the zone would be so populated, but no luck.
My wish list for today–
I like the “Protectors of Hyjal” daily–the one where you get the 4 helpers, one of which might be a “celebrity”. Wish there was a way to do that for dungeon runs. Yeah, yeah…mmorg means interacting with other players…but I think it would be fun to have the option of running dungeons with a party of NPCs.

On the other hand, do you really want to do a dungeon with Budd?
I got my** [Have…Have We Met] **achievement on Saturday. I think I had everyone except Mankrik for about four days until he finally showed up. Ironic that I spent time looking for him.

I was missing Thassarian for days, until I saw a frost wyrm carrying something fly by. I thought, “Frost wyrms? In my Hyjal?”. And then it dawned on me and /wave /wave /wave!

Thassarian is a favorite of mine, and I have been disappointed that I haven’t seen Koltira at Setheria’s Roost. I had hopes that Sylvanas would let him out of the dungeon to help out.*
Overall I’ve been pleased with the Firelands. It was heartening to see some of the cool pets, mounts, and titles you can get from just grinding out the dailies and doing the quest achievements. I burned out on the raiding back in October (after I made an old lady cry because she stood in the defile one too many times) and I just haven’t had the heart to go back to it. It made me a mean person. Well, okay, I am still crotchety. Especially when healing tanks with only 30K in Throne of Tides, with all the dps standing in the green ooze (and the fissures, and the geysers, etc.) le sigh
*Yes, I am sinking into lore-nerdiness. My cat’s name is Koltira. I blame my husband.
Oh, cool, another Koltira fan! He’s one of my two favorite NPCs (the other one is Kael’thas). I really do hope he ends up getting out of that dungeon–he’s too good a character to waste. Maybe sometime in the future we’ll get to rescue him…or he’ll become a raid boss.

And Infovore, the story of Thassarian and Koltira is one of my favorites! Recall the quest chain after [Veteran of the Wrathgate] where one had to accompany Varian on an assault inside Undercity? Stonebow and I hold out hope that we’ll get to do something like that again, except to go with Thassarian to rescue Koltira!
Oh, how cool would that be? I would be so there! But at this point I’ll settle for him coming back at all, and not with all of his feeling for Thassarian burned out of him by the Bitch Queen (or at least not irrevocably). He’s far too cool a character to just drop.
From the “3 second WTF?” Files:
I had won a roll on an Elementium Lockbox last night during an instance, but had no keys. Today I got around to making Obsidium Keys from the Folded Obsidium (a stack of 20 Foldeds makes 20 Keys). So now I was unlocking the box and opened it, but the box was still there, but locked! WTF? I wasted a key somehow? I then looked down on the Chat Box and noticed that I received 25g49s70c and ANOTHER Elementium Lockbox! Unlocked that box and got another 33g51s8c and a Mail Helm for another 8g and change.
I did not expect that.
That’s happened to me a couple of times - an elementium lockbox containing a second lockbox. At that point I have to hope the rogue who picked the first one for me is still around. I haven’t found three nested boxes yet, though.
Spent some time this weekend doing BGs on my priest, which I haven’t really done since Cata came out. Got enough HPs to get my final PvP mount; now I just need to improve my gear (which is the crafted PvP cloth set). I was feeling kind of burned out on heroics, though I need the VPs, and I’ve been having no luck getting in any raid pugs, even BH.
I was getting a guildie to open boxes for me. I thanked him, and then immediately went WAIT DON’T LEAVE THIS LOCKBOX HAD A LOCKBOX
The fangirl committee is in session! I need to finish the Death Knight starter zone. I think half-naked Koltira fried my brain.
All of them, or only the *tameable *ones? The former wouldn’t make much sense.
That would be pretty sweet. Of course, it would also be *very *hard to tune.
I actually have a macro that I’ve been spamming for the last three. Down to just Thassarian now.
Any old lady who can’t move her ass out of the fucking Defile deserves to cry.
