Typing /mountspecial will do the special animation for flying mounts. Most but not all of them have it. Most dragons, for example, will stretch their wings and roar. The same command works for ground mounts as well, and is identical to hitting the space bar.
I’m pulling an all-nighter tonight, so I’ll give that a try , enilno.
Yup, my doctor says my ankles are way too skinny, and I need some more fluid around that part of my body. He also told me my blood vessels are allowing my blood to rush through too quickly and wants me to build up some plaque and maybe a few clots to slow it down
, so he’s got me on a pizza, donuts and Black Forest cake meal plan. Apparently he thinks my lipid levels are too low and he wants me to bring them back into some kind of nornalcy. I’ll let y’all know how it goes.
Thanks

Thanks again for the advice on the animals!
These are for you, Quasi:
VERY nice, Skammie. Durgo looks like he may have a hottie waiting on him after work. Maybe one of the cashiers? And Chef Kene just can’t ger rid of that wicked gleam in the eyes, can he?
I just came away from Brewfest in IF. Can you tell me what to do when those moles show up? Looks like folks are throwing rocks, but what’s the plan with that?
Thanks, Skammer!
They’re throwing mugs. When the moles break the surface, get to one of the little tables around the Brewfest grounds and pick up a mug. Put the mug in the action bar slot that has a little “1” in the corner (usually the leftmost bottom one). Now, to throw a mug, hit “1” (the number, not the action bar button) and then pick up another mug from the table. You can get into a rhythm where you’re just picking up and throwing and picking up and throwing and picking up and throwing. Stay by the table so you don’t have to go running back and forth to reload.
Got one more Brewfest quest in the first chain: Ram Racing. It’s 4 am, and that’s all she wrote for the German Boy. I was going to do ALL the brewfest ones, but it wasn’t meant to be this night and besides, my buddy “Bob” (my small suit of armor) has moved just the slightest little bit a couple of times.
Later and thanks for the help!

Joined the fishing tournament today and fished in Sholazar Basin.
I keep getting mixed up about “Realm Time” and “Local Time”, though and just barely got there in time. See, I thought Real Time means Pacific Time, which is 3 hours behind me, so today I thought i missed it and flew back to Valiance Keep to take the boat back to SW.
Just as I got there though, that guy yelled out a 5 minute warning and so I flew back to Sholazar basin and started fishing.
When I got there, there were 2 schools of Nettlefish, so I cast into them and pulled out 3 pygmy suckers, so I knew I was in the right place. Eventually though, the school disappeared, but I kept fishing in it anyway. Was I supposed to, or should I have flown to another inland water spot completely?
On the other side of the basin there was another player fishing and his school was still sparkling. I didn’t know if I could fly over there and fish, but I didn’t, and shortly therafter a winner was announced anyway.
So here’s a few questions:
-
Do the suckers disappear when the pool stops sparkling, or can you stay where you are and possibly still win? Seems like a waste of time to fly somewhere else if you could stay where you are and still get the shark.
-
Speaking of pools, if your first cast doesn’t land you in the sparkling center, you pull back and cast again right away, right?
-
Gonna ride the ram tonight - late. I was at the fest late last night too, and it made it much easier going after the Wolpertingers.
Thanks

To jay: Got it about the moles, thanks!

An observation: The Zul’Drak Bats sound like Sam Kinison.

After all…they are Wild Things.
Any of you guys have a high burst-damage PvPer on Arthas? 1/3 of my 3v3 Arena team (the ShadowPriest) just bailed on me.
The other two of us are a holy paladin and an interrupt/movement focused enh Shaman.
Knock, knock! Is anyone managing the bar tonight? Need some of that special recipe rum, please?..
Well, while I’m waiting, I wanted to tell y’all something funny that happened to Wolkie and Silka a few nights ago…
Know how sometimes your toon “locks up” in what looks like a kneeling position?
Well, the other night I thought I’d have some fun with the two of them:
I didn’t think I could do it, but I got Wolkie on Silka’s back in exactly that position and rode them back with her at a very slow walk (/)…
So we rode into TB Base Camp that way and some other people saw us and one whispered to me, “Man what happened to you???”
“My back went out”, I replied. Laughter and applause as we walked up to that blacksmith and tried to get fixed, but no go. He could only heal, not put us back. So we hearthed out to the inn in the Dwarven district and everything was cool.
Man! I wish I’d gotten a screenshot for y’all!!! I don’t suppose there’s any way to recreate that, is there, it just has to happen?
The Brewfest quest “There and Back Again”: Do I stop the ram at all? It should be easy. But that is the one giving me trouble.
Thanks guys, and can someone call the innkeeper and open this place up, please???
Quasi
Well, I’m calling it a night, then. Made it to “Revered” and Veteran of my one-man guild tonight. Yay, me.

On the fishing tournament thing–it’s been a couple years since I participated in the one in Stranglethorn, and things may have changed, but back then you fished a pool until it disappeared, then you moved on to another pool. You could only catch the prize fish in an active pool. It was common on my server for multiple people to cast into the same pool–it’s a competition, and no one “owns” a pool they happen to reach first. Your server may or may not have a similar accepted practice.
I’ve noticed that too. It seems competitive fishers think it’s more efficient to take one or two fish from a “shared” pool than look for another one not in use.
Of course, on my fairly douchebag server, the really competitive fishers have bodyguards (other players in pvp rig) to deal with competition around the next few pools the fisher may want. You can’t fish if you’re ghostrunning, or even if you’re just defending yourself.
This is the primary reason I don’t really even try for the Stranglethorn tournament. Not having my own posse is a huge liability, and my guild isn’t really interested in helping out that way.
PvP players can’t attack me unless I’m flagged PvP, though, right?
Q
Correct. On a PvE server, you must be flagged to be attacked. Note that attacking (even by accident by inadvertently clicking them) a flagged player or a PvP-flagged NPC, or entering the other side’s major cities will flag you.
That’s a good point, and good clarification. I mentioned my “douchebag server”… and failed to mention that it’s a PvP server, in which any time you step outside the safety of any zone owned by your own faction, you’re automatically flagged for PvP.
Still, even by the generous standards of all PvP servers, Azgalor is notably douchebag. I definitely rolled on the wrong server, since PvP is just what happens to me when I’m trying to do something I actually enjoy. But I’m too cheap to transfer and too stubborn to quit, so I suffer in self-inflicted PvP-ness whenever someone decides that the orc hunter over there in welfare epics and JP blues is an easy kill. (Which I am, if I don’t get the first shot.)
Thankfully, most gankers are too cowardly to attack any 85, or anyone close to their level. I don’t get ganked more than once-twice a week while doing my usual grind of Molten Front, etc.
I live on the opposite of your server. I routinely don’t start fights with guys who haven’t attacked me, and yet my average day in Molten Front involves going 15-1 or so in PvP against the guys who think it’s a capital idea to engage the Draenei Enhancement Shaman (in mostly Ruthless Gladiator gear) at point blank range.
Granted, I’m told the Horde-Alliance ratio on Arthas is 6-1 or thereabouts.
Well, it makes me happy I chose Aleks then. I still get the occasional duel challenge, but I can deal with that. You can’t really change a server once you’ve levelled high on the one you have, so you’re stuck, even though it’s a douche, right? Also, I haven’t checked, but I bet Horde/Alliance overall is like 75% Horde.
