Cool thanks for the tip. I’ll definitely go give it a look, hopefully the quest will be available to me. I had Loremaster before CATA, so i’m not sure what that means for a lot of the low level quests with regards to availability.
For an alliance pally, it would be pretty cool to transmorg your weapon into Verigan’s Fist. I loved that hammer.
It could be just me, though, since my first-ever toon was a human paladin before I rolled on Cairne for the Doper guild.
All the Hunter tiers are fugly, in my opinion. I do have my eye on some bows - I need to check if bows and crossbows are interchangeable. I’ve got the Lavabolt Crossbow and it is ugly as shit.
There’s a transmog addon (can’t remember the same) but it isn’t letting you make sets to save later yet, so I’ll wait until then and then start plotting things out for the post-4.3 doldrums.
All ranged weapons are transmoggable into all other ranged weapons. Which is good, because I don’t really like guns
So far, I’m looking at these:
Human Warlock (Note: this doesn’t render properly on Wowhead–the bracers are in fact dark brown).
Human Priest
Blood Elf Hunter
For my 85s, all female. I’m trying for reasonably unique. Ish. I’m not a fan of most tier, anyway.
Whereas I LOVE guns. But the only weps I have around to transmog my Lavabolt would be The Sunfury Bow, and it’s just a little too flashy for my tastes. (Elves. Garish to the end.)
I will eventually get the Karazhan Little Red Riding Hood event and loot the Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle. And then I’ll be happy.
Well, it’s not so much the gun I have a problem with as the almighty racket it makes.
Also, I have that gun. It’s actually the only gun that I like. I wanted to build a set around it and the purple/red cape you get, but I haven’t been able to find good gear to go with it. That, you know, I’ll be able to get in time.
Everything looks good on females! I’m a little miffed that anything that looks skimpy on a female turns into full dress on a male. I found a chestpiece that dipped low to show cleavage but on my male hunter it covers him to the neck.
I think I just want my nelf to look like a belf, ha ha.
I’m pretty sure there’s a mod out there that will silence gun blasts. I usually have my WoW volumed turned way down anyway so it doesn’t interfere with my vent or music.
Mists of Pandaria Talent Calculator available with the usual ‘things subject to change’ caveat.
I have only looked at my rogue so far and I feel that Subtlety has lost it’s uniqueness somewhat, obviously shadowstep being open to all is a big part of this. Hopefully the intended aim of making the damage consistent across all specs works out.
Cool. It’s great to see what the baseline spec abilities are. I’m getting pretty excited about the talent redo. There seem to be a bunch of non-obvious choices.
2 spells that jumped out at me (pointed out by someone else…) :
Looks really awesome for both. Seems way too powerful for mages. Full health and mana every 3min4sec? (It’s a 3min CD) And Symbiosis could be huge as well. Lasts one hour! Changes how you play your class.
Well, it only rolls you back 4s, so you only recover the health and mana you can lose in 4s. Which is 2 spells worth of mana if you’re lucky.
Ugh, I hate hate HATE the Pandaria talent tree, speaking as an enhancement shaman. As far as I can tell they took away ALL my buff totems, and there aren’t any good goddamn choices in the talents for melee.
Zeriel, take a deep breath and relax. First of all, the MoP talents are far from final and what we’ve seen so far is little more than rough sketches, wait until the beta at least, then you can get upset.
Secondly, yes you are correct, they are removing the buff totems, but they are replacing them with passive buff auras, so you will still provide the buffs.
Do I really come across as hyperventilating to you? Adjust your sensors, Sensitive Stan.
That annoys me on SO many levels. I LIKED my totems–not least of which is that in PvP Arena, I can be buffing the two other guys while I chase their goddamn healer hither and yon with Wind Shear. I am currently willing to trade a notable amount of DPS compared to frontline classes for that ability–I will not be willing to trade that DPS for mere buff auras.
If they come through with the promise of giving us more interesting totems in place of the simple buff ones, then that would be a good change.
I don’t think placing totems that give a thirty yard aura is any more fun than simply having a 100 yard aura like every other class. It’s certainly not interesting to me. On the other hand, putting down Earthbind or Spirit link or some of the new totems from the 5.0 talent tree effectively and actually making a difference *would *be interesting, and if they make more of these types of totems, that is a good thing.
I also don’t agree that there are no good choices for enhancement, with the exception of perhaps the level 75 tier. You have to remember that the whole point of the new talent system is to offer situational choices that do not confer any DPS advantage. Everything that currently boosts your DPS is baked into the spec, such that ideally, all enhancement shamans can do the same DPS regardless of how they spec. The talents are just there to add flavor and some utility.
I do think that the last tier of shaman totems is lackluster, at least without a significant buff to our totems. But hopefully that will change.
Dunno about hyperventilating, but you did say “hate” three times, and I’ve seen so many knee-jerk responses to (and often to less than) the limited information available about MoP changes that I’m amazed that a large portion of the WoW community haven’t lost their legs.
Now that I’m reading it correctly I’m seeing it as a defensive cooldown. (Boss is about to swipe the raid and do a bunch of damage to everyone…well not me! - ala Beth’tilac’s Smoldering Devastation, or Staghelm’s scorpion swipe)
Have to think about the mana possibilities more.
May warlock is unhappy, he can only have one of Howl of Terror, Mortal (née Death) Coil or an instant Fear. Pah it’s like we were OP when it came to CC in arenas…
Boy am I glad to hear that. Playing against a 'lock in arena, I might as well have played with my hands in my pockets.
