Finally got Jaejae the Paladin to 60 yesterday. I can fly! I can fly! I can fly! Tyrael’s Charger is an awesome-looking mount…even if everybody and their brother has one.
New shoulder mah pads.
Obtained with honor points earned in the Grizzly area, thanks to Mr. Rik for teaching me about this PVP! I go there every day now!
Thanks
Q
4 of my bags are missing.
Anyone know what to do to get them back?
Thanks
Q
Never mind. I had 2 WoW’s going at once.
What do you mean they’re missing? They’re not showing up in your bag bar?
Yeah, but when I opened the second WoW window, there they were.
Gratz on reaching 60 (and flight!), jaejae. I gratzed you in-game yesterday, but you must have not seen it.
Q
TB commendations How many do you have to get before you can buy something?
Are they combineable with honor points?
Thanks
Q
They can’t be combined with honor points.
Here’s a list of things you can buy and the number of Commendations you need to buy each one.
Sorry, Quasi. I wonder if there’s an add-on that makes a noise when anyone speaks in Guild Chat? Because I’m apparently entirely incapable of paying attention to that window when I’m questing.
Thanks, info. I bookmarked that.
jay, I don’t know about a noise, but while we’re on the subject, the message of the day is do y’all think we could begin recruiting?
Thanks
Q
I just had something of an epiphany, though I’m sure somebody else has already thought of it, if it wasn’t exactly what Blizzard was thinking when they came up with it:
My Creepy Crate pet from Hallow’s End uses what looks like Death Grip to snag nearby critters.

54543
Someone in-game sent me this as a whisper last night. I googled it and it’s the number found imprinted on Oxycodone tablets.

I thought I had reached the pinnacle, the toppermost of the poppermost and the zenith of my cooking skill, but it appears I have one more stage to go. So in addition to my dailies and other quests I’ll be doing some cooking tonight.
Also, what benefit does one derive from drinking an alcoholic beverage? I got one in a drop which increased my vitality (? not sure that was what it was called) but made me drunk at the same time?
Thanks
Q
Alcoholic beverages make you drunk, which ups your stamina (I think) and, in extreme cases, makes your ability to determine a mob’s level and power deceive you (you may be looking at a lvl 85 mob but the game is telling you it’s level 30 or something, to emulate “Dutch courage”). Drinking some alcoholic beverages also grants you a tick on the “It’s Always Happy Hour Somewhere!” achievement. Not all of them, though…Overachiever should tell you if the beverage counts in the tooltip.
I have no idea what those numbers in your earlier post are about, Quasi. Sorry.
Thanks, jay
About those numbers: you don’t reckon someone’s selling drugs and this is a code, do ya?
Q
I doubt they’d do random tells about it. It may have been a mistell, and they were answering someone else and got you instead. Was it someone you’d been /whispering with before? He may have just went too far in his list of respond people and got you by accident.
The number maybe COULD be a damage amount…like he was doing 54,543 damage/sec in his last instance and he meant to tell someone else that.
Really? How cool is that! I never knew that happened. Do you have a cite for it? I’ve been playing WoW since 2006 and literally never heard that, but it would be way cool if it did work that way!
I rarely drink alcoholic beverages in the game because I don’t like how it makes my screen go all weird to simulate drunkenness. It gives me a headache pretty fast. Needless to say I don’t like Brewfest much. ![]()
Apparently I was wrong about stamina, unless that’s new in the last patch and it hasn’t propagated through wowwiki yet.
I forgot this little gem from the ancient days of yore:
Shometimesh, I really REALLY missh vanilla WoW.
