New Year, in the Central Time Zone!

Whoo hoo!
Happy New Year y’all.

Happy New Year. Four more hours for us.

My buddy back in Thailand and I have started this New Year’s tradition. Thailand is 17 hours ahead of Hawaii, so when it turned midnight there, it was 7am this morning here. We both toasted the new year in that country with two shots of Jaegermeister each – we each had one shot for ourselves and one for the other. Then we’ll do it again at midnight tonight in Hawaii, which will be 5pm Saturday afternoon in Thailand.

Man oh man.
7am shots of Jaeg.
That’s brave of you.

I thought it got the day off to a good start.

34 minutes in, I’m doing OK, so far.

To those of us east of you, this is old news.

But welcome to 2022.

Happy New Year, from EST to Central and also to all the others.

So far 2022 looks from here a lot like 2021 – but like a pretty good day for 2021. Will hope for more good days to come. – in aid of that I will now go let a cat in.

You know what they say - you can’t drink all day if you don’t start first thing in the morning!

My ol’Unka Pete was a mess most days.
He’d put bourbon in his coffee every morning.

We’d admonish him and say, “Unka Pete you shouldn’t drink so early” or “Why don’t you quit drinking?”

His reply was always “I quit drinking about 2am last night, I just fell off the wagon this morning”
