As I write this, it is now 2003 in New Zealand.
I hope the new year is everything that you could hope for, that it treats you all well with love, hope, peace and goodwill.
Here’s to 2003!

Here’s to 2003!
It’s still 0615 on the 31st in the eastern U.S., but happy New Year to you Kiwis!
This reminds me of a tradition my friends and I once had. We celebrated every time zone on earth, which by our count is 37 time zones spread across 26 hours, from 0400 on the 31st to 0600 on the 1st, Central US time. Nothing quite like yelling “Happy New Year Chatham Island” at 4:15 AM. I think this year, we’ll just stick with the six or so US time zones.
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to all from Brisbane. We still have an two hours twenty minutes left to go, an hour less for the southern states with daylight saving
Lets hope 2003 turns out to be much better globally than it is shaping up to be atm
Happy New Year, Kiwis!
Are our Australian friends “on the other side” already as well? If so, happy new year to you too, mateys!
And Happy Newyear, Tonga Dopers!
(I think that’s the island that crosses over first, anyway…)
Apparently, the Aussies are still on my side of things.
11 hours and 15 minutes away from 2003, over here.
Happy New Year, folks! I’ve got about 19 hours to go.

16 hours till the new year here – or 16 more hours of my birthday to celebrate, it’s all in how you look at it.
Two-Thousand and Three. No sir, I don’t like it. Oh well, 21 hours to go for me.
We (meaning Hawaii) really should’ve hopped the date line. I still think we should. Sure it’s banana republicish but so what. It woulda been cool.
Coupla minute to go.
(I still can’t get used to no “19…” in the date…)
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM SYDNEY!!!

Less than eleven hours to go here. Happy New Year, Antipodian dopers!
[Tired Old Joke] Good afternoon, this is your captain speaking. We have just begun our descent into Brisbane. Please wind your watches back one hour and twenty years.[/Tired Old Joke]
That Sydney fireworks display was pretty. Shame I couldn’t see it from my house, but there’s a wacking great building in the way.
I’m glad that the evening here has been quiet. I can’t stand NYE parties.
Happy New Year everyone.
Feeling happy right now. Just got back from a party, the girls fell asleep straight away, and this is my 500th post.
I’ve had a few glasses of '98 Lindemans Pyrus (very nice), so apologies in advance for not making sense in any future posts tonight.
Five and a half hours till the girls wake up again, so I’ll enjoy it a bit while I can.
One more 2002 workday to go; I guess it’s about time to crank it up for the rest of the year.
Happy New Year to our Ozzies and Kiwis. And to our folkks in India and Europe as well, as they’ll see it before I’m back here again.
