As much as life lacks narrativum mine seems to have enough of it. I spent new years’ first few seconds with the one person I would have wanted to spend them with.
(I got invited out to the pub, then with half an hour to go I went to work and was most welcome)

Just heard Dick Clark announce the new year in New York (and, by extension, Lafayette) for what could well be his final time. Happy 2006 to the Dopers who celebrated the ringing out of 2005 several hours ago, those now joining the party, and those still “stuck in the past” for the next hour, two, or more!
