Explosions in the air with searchlights sweeping the sky seems to me to be in rather bad taste.
I went to bed around 00:25 – my room smelled like tires or something. The various neighbors had been practicing for midnight since an hour after sunset. Random explosions all evening, was getting kind of tiresome. By the time the big moment rolled around, most of the heavy ordnance was used up, and it was barely more than background noise.
Still some random explosions today. It got blowed up, but apparenty not blowed up good enough.
