New Yorker magazine subscribers...

Did you receive this week’s copy in the mail? We didn’t and neither did our neighbor.

It happens that this particular issue has a highly publicized article in it by Seymour Hersh which has gotten huge attention on TV and I wonder if the magazine has channeled many of the subscribers’ copies to news stands for the greater revenues.

Just wondering.

Got mine yesterday.

Finally got mine today - 2 days late.

Got it today. Late–but it’s often late. So, does that make it actuallly late? Or the rest of the time is it early?

I don’t think we got ours either.

I usually get mine on Fridays, but now that you mention it, I haven’t gotten it yet either.

Got mine on 3/3 - seeing as it’s dated for 3/5 can it really be called ‘late’?

Also, wasn’t the last issue a double issue (as in dated for two weeks) - could that cause delays in the production schedule?

I doubt it, seeing as how we haven’t got a late issue after a double issue. As a possibility, I attribute the tardiness to the new Hersh article that has stirred much interest. Maybe the editors anticipated a much greater demand for this issue, based on the experience of a previous Hersh article on Iraq which also caused a big to do.

Got ours…Glad to see some doper readers…I had a piece in it last year. Not tell’in which issue though

Got mine on Thursday.

Got mine on Thursday. We here in the frozen north usually get it a day or two later than it is delivered in NYC. Could it be that postmen were taking it home to read before delivering it?

FWIW, I didn’t even find the article that provocative. So Bush is going to throw his support from the Shiites to the Sunnis? Nothing he does is based on reality, so of course it is mistaken.
