I was under the impression Tubadiva so she was the one I contacted to get my username changed. I used to be Tahssa.
Ah, cool…that makes sense. Appreciate the info.

TubaDiva gets most of them, but any of the admins can change a username. I finally did a couple of them recently.
I just popped in to say Marley did my name change. I sent an email and it was done. I am very appreciative.
My thanks to Marley for the name change…and thanks for the info from my fellow 'dopers.

Oh great, next thing you know, Marley will change everyone’s user name at once.
You’re welcome. And can I say the new name is very slimming? Those extra letters were just slowing you down.
That usually happens only one day a year, when all users become I Lirpa.

I was trying to be ‘ethical’ and do the least amount of harm to helpless animals. ‘Think of the hamster!’ keep echoing through my head every time I saw all those extra letters…
You have done a great thing here Marley, both for myself and for all of hamster-kind! You can be proud of your efforts, and they have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated.

I changed mine.
Back in 99 or 2000, I forget.
We do suggest that people changing their names “announce” it (like in a sig line), but it’s not compulsory.
Yeah, it caught a lot of people off guard.
It does make searching for old 24 Club threads easier, though.
