News story from past two years: child falls into hole?

This got a lot of press, but I don’t remember whether there was any follow-up.

What I remember is that a child from a divorced/separated family was being picked up, or dropped off. The child (possibly a toddler) wandered away from the waiting vehicle and fell into either a well or a septic tank hole. One of the things that i seem to recall was that police thought it strange that the child could have lifted the cover, so there was some question, at least at first, that it might have been foul play.

Anyone??? I don’t remember the names, state, or even whether it was a boy or girl.

I remembered the story Earl was talking about, and found an update. According to the last couple of sentences in the article, it was determined that the septic tank lid fell back into place after the kid went in.
