Next up: Indiana and North Carolina

This bad boy is going down to the wire. I wonder if these recent super jumps are trying to pre-emptively take the wind out of Hillary’s sails if she can pull off a win in NC.

I have to say, Obama is beatable in this environment. There are those who have called this a “nadir”- I have to agree and at times think that is a bit optimistic. It would all seem to hinge on the reaction of everyone to the latest Wright free-for-all. Will it dampen enthusiasm among some black voters? Have teetering whites had enough? Will straight talk on the gas tax weigh down his chances?

I’m pretty caught up in all this.

These things are cyclical. Obama has taken his punishment from Hillary and the Republicans early enough in the cycle that it is likely he will be on an upswing by Tuesday. People are sick of seeing him trashed for something that another man did or said. And they’re sick of Hillary’s kitchen sink mass murder strategy. They understand what it means when she calls him elitist and she can’t even pump fucking gas.

Interesting people the Clintons hang-out with:

Video at link.

Maybe his preference is to be the compromise candidate after things get locked up at the convention.

My picks: Indiana for Clinton by 5-7%, N.C. for Obama by a similar margin. More spinning and sleaze to follow, ad nauseam.

Nader? Where?!

Nah. That’s Gore.

I think we are already past nauseam. We’re down to dry heaves.

I’ll hold my predictions until I see how Obama does on Meet the Press Sunday.

I thought the Hillary-McCain crowd had stopped with the race baiting, but here it rears its ugly head again.

Silly! You’re not looking at it from the Clinton supporter viewpoint, which is obviously going to be that Obama MADE him write that, because Hillary’s campaign has NEVER dogwhistled any racial slurs, ever. It was all Obama!

Apprently that video has been doctored.

Yeah, that is weaksauce. Like most other attempts at character assassination by association. But this one is particularly shameful.

What are we supposed to derive from the fact that a Clinton suporter once mumbled something inaudible to someone? Even if it were accurate, and it seems to me pretty clear that it is not, what could it possibly mean?

I am getting sick of this whole thing.

I hear that one of Hillary’s friends in kindergarten once called the teacher a fatso. I think Hillary must denounce and reject that friend.

Deleted double post.

It would so appear. You’d think they’d vet something like this prior to showing it on the newsticker.

Friends?! Hillary has friends? The Horror!

Grim scenario: Obama and Clinton deadlock, then Edwards and Gore get into a death match over who’s the consensus compromise candidate.

End result: on the 103d ballot, exhausted delegates select Kucinich as the nominee.

I find it incredibly funny that Clintonites are barking as if they are in the lead and are guilded in some kind of bronze - when in reality the Clinton Campaign has been wrought with terrible management, abhorrent conduct and in many ways looks like it was run by a pimpled highschool bully.
Acting as if Obama is somehow going to back down or leave the campaign is crap. High level dems are defecting to Obama from Clinton - would this be happening if Obama was a lame duck? Hell no! He’s still going to take the nomination - watch and see.

Drudge picked it up, though, and the networks tend to follow him as if he were God or something, even though he’s been riding on the breaking of the Lewinski scandal for almost 15 years, and he’s roughly 1 for 3 when you simplify the odds.

It was picked up by various Kossacks this morning, but has been retracted since then as the news of doctoring came out. Much as I love that Giant Orange Monster, they get what they deserve when they tout Drudge as a source…

The nomination has been in the bag for a while now. The only thing that worries me is that Hillary is succeeding in ruining Obamas chances for the general election. She’ll win Indiana, she might keep NC close (maybe closer than PA was) and it won’t help her win the nomination one bit, but it will sure raise a lot of questions about Obama.

Right. That sucks all-around as far as the reliability of your MSM. Yeah, I know, BIG NEWS. Not.

But the point I was trying to convey is how easily the Media (not just in the US mind you) can sway voters – truth be dammed. And worse yet, with Mickey Mouse shit as John does well to point out. Guess that’s a whole 'nother thread anyway.

Appreciate your response none the less. I admit I don’t know all that much about Drudge, so just researching that topic should keep me busy for a while…

Now that’s funny!

I heard Michelle Obama speak at a rally tonight. She was fabulous–funny, warm and inspiring. I’d vote for her in a red-hot minute.
