Next year, I'm getting cat's eye frames

Big, thick, bright pink ones with blinking lights, or maybe a beeper I can call. I’ve been wearing glasses for seven years now, and I still haven’t learned to keep good track of where I left them.

It sure as hell doesn’t help that I’m near-sighted. It’s difficult for me to even see the bloody things clearly unless they’re within two feet of my face. I need to have my glasses on to find my glasses. I did think about putting on my sunglasses sole for the purpose of finding my regular pair, but I couldn’t remember where I put those either. Now I see that they’re right in front of my face, burried in the mess on my desk. I really need to clean this up.

And having thin, semi-rimless frames doesn’t help either. Unless they’re nearby, the frames are so blurry I can’t see them at all, and I also have a tendency to leave them on top of things that they blend in well with. No, I never leave them on a sheet of white paper or a yellow book. It’s always the brown couch or a red flyer, making them even harder to find.

Of course, I suspected I had brought them with me when I sat down to read, but did I leave them on the table or the couch? Or maybe I left them at my desk. Heck, for all I know I left them at my roommates desk after watching Smallville this morning. Nope, not at my desk. Not on the table. Sit down, feel around–there they are! I can see again! Now, where did I leave my cellphone, I hear it ringing…
