NFL 2020: Week 13

Time for Larry Csonka, Bob Griese and Mercury Morris to pop the champagne for another year.

The KC Chiefs might send Ron Rivera a bouquet of roses tomorrow morning.

That was AMAZING!!!

They said the Steelers were 78-1-1 with that lead on their turf

I didn’t hear that. Was that stat with a 14-point first half lead, or a 14-point lead at any point in the game?

Don’t remember and googling 78 and Steelers brings up 1978.

Zach Moss picked the wrong time for a fumble

Two possessions, two goal line stands on 4th down to keep the game scoreless. I actually expected a bit more … inventive playcalling, at least by the Niners, on the goalline.

This article states that the Steelers were 220-0-2 at home when holding a 14 point lead at any point, until this game against the Chargers in 2018.

So the stat you brought must have been first half, I would think.

Makes sense, I was watching online with a group and things were flying fast and furious

Wow!

I don’t think Washington is going to make the playoffs, and honestly it’s really not a good thing for them if they do, but they are not a team that anyone wants to play right now. I don’t know who that announcer was, but he was right, with Alex Smith shaken off the rust WFT isn’t a game you can just win, you have to beat them.

Feeling a little fatalistic after my Steelers get their first loss. Can’t run the ball worth a damn, injuries piling up at linebacker, Ben averaging about 2 yards per pass attempt, and now using a practice squad kicker for the stretch run… At 11-1 the playoffs are almost guaranteed at this point, but not feeling too confident about what happens once we get there.

And whaddya know: the Team beat the 'Stillers after all. A little surprised they threw as often as they did with a one-TD lead in the 4th quarter. Lots of dropped passes, too.

Both the Team and the Giants are much better now than in the first half. Look at their second half record at year’s end and that’ll tell us what kind of team they are.

I propose “The Washington Footies.”

Washington The Footies has a better acronym.

The Washington Lobbyists, with a logo of Jack Abramoff wearing a black Fedora

Eagles will be starting Jalen Hurts at QB next week.

Think they’re regretting that $128 million extension?

The Chiefs have had a tougher schedule than the Steelers (who really only faced one good team, Baltimore.) At this rate it is very possible the Steelers will lose to Buffalo and then Kansas City gets the inside track to the 1# seed.

Long way to go, obviously, but if both teams win out and finish 15-1, Steelers would have the #1 seed because they would have no conference losses, while the Chiefs would have one such loss (Chiefs lost to the Raiders.)

Steelers remaining schedule: @ Buffalo, @ Cincy, Indy, @ Cleveland
Chiefs remaining schedule: @ Miami, @ Saints, Falcons, Chargers

Steelers remaining opponents winning percentage: .594
Chiefs remaining opponents winning percentage: .521

At least he was briefly good, even great.

Goff and Garoppolo have never been better than okay. Garoppolo’s issues are at least somewhat due to injury but same with Wentz.

It’s customary to overpay a QB who doesn’t absolutely stink (and it’s not unusual for them to start to stink after getting the contract).
