I think the Burrow v Herbert matchup is the QB game to watch. They’ve never played against each other as Tyrod Taylor was the QB when we played them last.
I was at the Stealers game last Sunday. Boy was that epic! This Bengals fan is VERY pleased with his defense and running game right now.
The Eagles’ regular uniforms are green and white, and the Jets’ regular uniforms are are green and white, so to avoid confusion in the Eagles/Jets game they are both wearing black pants.
The Vikings provided plenty of help. The defender wanted to make sure he didn’t get beat to the back of the endzone. Sure, give the receiver the front half, that should work out fine.
Niners had won 3 in a row and 4 out of their last 5. Seattle had lost 3 in a row and 6 out of their last 7, and looked absolutely pathetic last Monday in Washington.
The Washington FT has won their last four games, including three on the road. They are still two full games behind Dallas, whom they haven’t played yet. Dare we hope ? It’s going to be an intense five weeks.
Paraphrasing Cris Collinsworth from the Chiefs-Broncos game, Denver with 3rd and 2 from the Kansas City 8: “They’re probably in four down territory, so they can run here if they want. Or maybe they pass it.”
I’m so glad we have such wonderful insight from announcers. Just like last week, where Troy Aikman was overwhelmed with shock that a textbook example of a blindside block was committed and called, and MMQBs nationwide lost their shit and called it favoritism.
I’m going back to jerry-rigging the home radio announcers to sync with the game. Absolute morons, outside of the ridiculously incredible Tony Romo.
So the Texans get their second blow out loss at 31-0 ( and two other close ones at 31-3 and 31-5) and running at 2-10 for the season
Yet somehow the Jaguars are worse.
As far as I know they didnt trade away their 2022 draft picks , yet, so maybe there is some hope for next year.
Or the year after.
Ok 2024 then.
Going into week 12, both Houston and the Jets were 2-8, each with a win over the Titans. I just don’t understand that. Not that Tennessee is a world beater, but they’re clearly competitive and are still favorites to win their division and would not shock anybody by advancing in the playoffs.
But still, 2 of their losses have come against Houston and the Jets. Their other 2 losses came at the hands of the Cardinals and the Patriots and were entirely understandable.
I just don’t understand football some days. Ok, to be fair, I don’t understand football a lot of days, but this one just defies all rationality.
Man the Bengals took it on the chin after a furious unanswered 22 points to make it 24-22 in the 3rd and Mixon, whom I think had fumbled 3 times in his career, laid one on the ground without contact and it was returned for a TD. Just blew the wind out of the proverbial sails, and that with Burrow playing almost the entire game with an untaped, ungloved dislocated pinkie finger on his throwing hand that he injured trying to recover his own strip fumble early in the 1st quarter. Plus down two starting o-lineman last minute and our starting MLB Logan Wilson got carted off the field. Just can’t have four TO’s and expect to win. Or get sacked 6 times.
Oh well, 7-5, welcome to the crowded middle of the AFC pack, Bengals. At least the Stealers did us a solid and kept us a game behind the Ravens, whom look pretty vulnerable to me.
But so does everyone. There’s no invincible teams, although the Bucs, Packers and Cards are all 9-3 or 10-2. Wacky season.
That was amazing. 4 points down, squeaking out a touchdown in the last 4 seconds of the game to possibly spoil the Vikings’ wildcard chances. That was the Lions’ Superbowl this season for sure.
Very happy to see the Lions pull that out. And they didn’t luck into it - they rallied and fought and earned it. It was great to see them celebrating after the TD catch. Good for them!
I couldn’t watch on tv, I had to check my phone. What happened with the Ravens? Did they miss the field goal or did they try for a two point conversion and fail?
