Sacrificial Cockroach? Sacrificial Tapeworm? Sacrificial Anal Tumor?
He’s a boil that was popped from the fleshy expanse of the vast diseased buttocks called the NFL.
It is still in dire need of a dermatologist.
Interesting to note that the Patriots and Bills are much the two best NFL teams in terms of net points (points scored minus points allowed) at +150 and +140 respectively.
The only other teams in triple digits are Arizona (+122) and Tampa (+109). Tennessee leads the AFC South with an 8-4 record despite the rather pitiful net point score of +14.
Patriot QB, Mac Jones, was not available questioning after the Buffalo game because he was icing his arm down after all those throws. - per Bill Belichick
Actually they attempted two, but both plays were negated on penalties. It was a very rainy day and neither club had much success. The Browns had beaten the Eagles earlier in the season – the first game in fact. It was a Saturday Evening game matching the Browns 1949 champs of the now ended AAFC and the Eagles champs of the NFL. It was widely believed that the Eagles would beat them badly but the Browns won. My father and mother bought their very first TV set to watch that game televised. I was alive, but only 2 1/2.
They specifically set up that game so that the Browns would lose to the Eagles. The Browns were the champions of the AAFC for 4 years in a row but that was considered a lesser league than the NFL (like the AFL in the 60s pre-merger) and it was believed they couldn’t play the big boys of the NFL. So when the NFL let the Browns join, they set their first game up against the NFL champs to smack them around and show them what was up. Except the Browns beat the champs, had a winning season, and went on to win the championship and continued to dominate the NFL through the 1950s. It’s a pretty unique achievement - I don’t know if anyone else from a “lower league” got promoted/accepted up into a higher league and then dominated that league.
From Wiki: The Browns scored on a pick-six two minutes into the game, and kicked a field goal later in the first half after an Eagles fumble. Plus,
Cleveland punted often on third down in the first half, opting to give Philadelphia the ball rather than risk a turnover in the inclement weather.
