The common denominator of good passing offenses: Joe Brady. He molded Joe Burrow. He’s shaping Sam Darnold.
Joe Brady will be a head coach next year - guaranteed.

Add Justin Fields to the list?
A man who wears overalls (and little else - he confirmed just boots and he ditched the cowboy hat) with this much confidence should never be denied:
My favorite part is McCourty flat out tackling that guy, he wanted the fat man to score so bad.
This also gives be an excuse to post one of my favorite highlights of all time.
“…aw, damn, I gotta really run now…”
I’ve never see that before and it is awesome. Soft hands, great cut once he has the ball, good field awareness and waiting for blockers, that play has it all.
I was at that game, the last game in old Soldier Field. It was cold as shit and very fun.
I was driving to Michigan for my grandmother’s funeral and I heard the call on the radio. I was laughing so hard listening to it that I almost had to pull over on the highway. Interestingly, ESPN didn’t seem very interested in playing this in their highlights that night. I can remember when I finally got to see it.
I had never seen that, and That. Was. Spectacular. Damn.
Bears/Browns is an interesting defensive game. Browns pile up the yards compared to the Bears, but can’t get a score.
Both Fields and Mayfield are holding the ball waaaayyy to long. I expect some adjustments soon.
Crazy game in Buffalo right now.
Currently, Justin Fields has been sacked as many times as he’s thrown a pass. Score aside, the game in Cleveland is ugly right now.
If Fields gets broken in half they have Nick Foles at least.
Fields looks lost. Browns offense is out of sync and it really feels like they should be up by 25 points with how badly Fields is getting destroyed. A 10 point lead is concerning.
Bears are stopping the Browns run game really well.
Fields has been sacked 6 times and completed 4 passes, but the refs just saved him from an interception by gifting the bears a huge BS pass interference call.
Illegal looking meanly at a wide receiver.
“here’s the thing, the bears have shown you absolutely no ability to make you think they can even run a play” said the announcer.
It’s actually two pretty good defenses, too, not just inept offenses. This is probably as close as you can get in the modern NFL to a defensive battle. Feels like the Browns should be crushing them in a blowout.
They had a 4th and less than 1 from the Cleveland 5 after getting gifted that PI and kicked a field goal. I realize it’s a game without much offense but that just felt cowardly.
The defenses are pretty good, but Fields, as you said, looks lost out there. Maybe it’s his receivers not getting enough separation, but he’s been holding the ball too long, leading to some of the sacks. Nagy has resorted to one read, quick throws, to try and get something started, but the Browns’ defense is able to sit on every route and Fields hasn’t made the great throws needed to break that defense. The Bears’ O line is also pretty bad.
Mayfield has missed a couple throws, but he’s at least running the offense and giving his receivers a chance. I expected more out of a #1 pick, but at least he can run the offense.
As much as it hurts my fantasy team, I don’t mind seeing Patrick Mahomes paying the price for making some questionable throws. There is no reason to throw a no-look pass behind the pass catcher (should have been caught, though) other than showing off. And the late pick was textbook “what not to do”, throwing late deep down the middle into triple coverage. He’s talented enough to get away with it sometimes, but they’re bad throws.
