Another smoke & mirrors win for the Steelers, although they did have over 200 yards rushing this week which is probably a pretty good recipe for a W for any team most of the time.
Sloppy Joe night in Buffalo tonight.
Wow, what a horrific 12 men penalty.
Yet another walk-off field goal!
Oof. My wife (who is from Buffalo) was so relieved to see that FG attempt miss, and then … that flag. And not some BS penalty, just sloppy counting by the Bills. Man. What the hell is up with the Bills this season. Was expecting them to be more like 8-2 at this point.
So tell me, why didn’t Buffalo have their field-goal defense on the field on 3rd down? Denver was obviously going to kneel and then kick it on 4th down. Instead, Bills have to rush in a whole new defensive unit and got a stupid penalty that cost them the game.
Actually, yeah, that’s incredible. 6 games doubles the previous record.
Giving flashbacks to a certain set of CFL fans with that too-many-men missed FG ending.
Russell Wilson may have left Seattle, yet his team still benefits from the 12th Man.
They’re #2 in the NFL with 18 giveawaus and #6 in penalties. Hard to excel with those kinds of problems.
Ken Dorsey out in Buffalo.
If Dorsey didn’t want to get fired, he shouldn’t have thrown all those interceptions! Oh, wait…
Its never your 50 million dollar a year franchise QB’s fault.
50 million dollars?! Who do they think they got, Chelsea Clinton?!
As a player, Dorsey started ten games for my 49ers during the worst times in my now-38 years being a fan. He threw 8 TDs to 11 INTs - not good but his best WR was Cedric Wilson. He went 0/7 later with the Browns. Learn from the best, Josh.
I got excited thinking that she was available as a QB, but when I looked up “Chelsea Football” in Google all I got was some dumb soccer team in England. ![]()
What I’m struggling to understand is why the Bills weren’t entitled extra time to substitute here? We’ve seen refs holding up the snap on a hurry up offense to allow the defense to get substitutions in. Why doesn’t that kind of thing apply on these FG attempts?
They had all the time they needed; they just lined up 12 people in the kick block formation. Six on the line to the right of the snapper (from their perspective), 5 on the line to the left, and a safety a few yards back whose job was to count to 10 (although they were out of timeouts IIRC, so I don’t know if there was anything he could have done about it).
For the rekick, they had 6 to the right and 4 to the left. I didn’t get to watch most of the game (or most Bills games), so I don’t know if that’s typical for them or not.
I’m aware how 12 men penalties work. Likely a contributing factor was the confusion caused by the Broncos running their kicking team on at the last second.
