That Hopkins acquisition has already starting paying off, too. They may not be world beaters despite their record, but they definitely have a good shot at winning any given game.
According to The Athletic this morning, right now their chance of winning each game is over 50%, except when they travel to Buffalo. Their winning chance in that game is 47%.
That was inexplicable. They had plenty of time on the clock and blew their last timeout just to give KC more time.
Now, while KC did not score after getting the ball, they did require the Bucs defense to stop them, and when KC won the coin toss and chose to receive, that same defense was probably still worn out. Just a big mistake on the part of Bowles in my opinion.
Kicking the extra point is more defensible to me, especially if they had burned off more clock and left the Chiefs not enough time to really try anything (even with all 3 timeouts left).
