NFL 2026-2027: Week 2

The Bills are using their first regular-season game at new Highmark Stadium to recognize their Canadian fanbase.

Bills chief operating officer Pete Guelli said in 2025 that Canadian residents accounted for approximately 10% to 15% of the team’s season-ticket members.

Under former owner Ralph Wilson, the Bills held annual Canadian fan appreciation games in Orchard Park that included both the Canadian and American national anthems.

They did that for a few years, but not anymore.

Buffalo Bills president Russ Brandon announced Wednesday that the team is done playing regular-season “home” games in Toronto after reaching an agreement with Rogers Communications to terminate the four remaining years left on the series.

The decision did not come as a surprise after the Bills had a 1-5 record since the series was established with a five-year agreement in 2008. The Bills and Rogers then reached another five-year deal in 2013 to extend the series.
