Ryland redeems himself for the OT win.
I look for the Colts to fire Shane Steichen in the next few days. Losing 42-7 to Jacksonville is just plain unacceptable.
Broncos making their game interesting. Fourth and goal with the half waning, lined up for quarterback sneak, tossed to Waddle on the right side.
When the GM trades 2 of the best players on the roster and is looking to trade another, you’re kinda fucked no matter what. The fact Daniel Jones turned back into a pumpkin and the clear indication that they’re tanking, no one should be surprised.
I would think they’d keep him around or else bring in an interim HC to take the fall for the season. It would be silly to hire a new coach while you’re tearing down your team.
While I’m rooting for the Chiefs, the more field goals that Butker misses, the better. Fuck that guy.
Helluva finish for the KC-Den game.
Yeah that was a very dramatic ending.
I’m a Pats fan, but I was more excited about the KC loss than the Pats win.
I’m surprised at Cam Ward throwing for 304 yards and no picks while Burrow had had 3 picks
Siriani is fired, replaced by Mike Tomlin.
I don’t have a cite yet, because it’s not tomorrow morning yet, but that’s gotta be it.
Cute but Tomlin isn’t coaching anywhere this season. He’s still under contract with Pittsburgh and any team that hires him would need to negotiate with them.
The nearest comparison is Sean Payton in Denver, and they sent New Orleans a first rounder plus I think a 2nd or 3rd rounder to get him.
Teams that I now officially declare as “extinct” for the 2026-27 season:
The Eagles: With their loss to the Commanders, they are now 2-4 and have sunk to the bottom of what is a pretty mediocre NFL East.
The Cowboys: This team blew a 17-3 lead at home to the lowly Cardinals and gave up over 400 yards in offense to a 2nd string QB and a 3rd string running back. I guess that makes them “lowlier” than the Cardinals.
The Chargers: As we approach the mid-point in the season, this is a team that has yet to register a single victory. Tanking is the only obtainable goal this sorry team can achieve.
Yesterday, for the first time in 52 years, a team played an entire game without completing a single pass and, amazingly, won! Congrats, Buccaneers!
You can probably add the Dolphins (1-6) and the Titans (1-7) to the Endangered Species list.
Cowboys still have an outside chance of salvaging their season, but they need to start winning games that they should win. Yesterday’s game was extremely enjoyable to watch for all of us Cowboy haters. Although when the XP was missed, it certainly felt like Dallas would escape with an undeserved win.
I didn’t mention them because I already them scratched. LoL
I’m excited about my Bears! The fabulous trade has raised their defense to another level. We now have interior push and a real pass rush, and the Seahawks are far from invincible with a 3-3 record. Tonight is huge.
Heck, for the Dolphins, Cowboys, and Raiders, it’s been a pretty bleak 3rd millenium. 1 Super Bowl, a loss, out of 78 seasons, none have even been back to the conference championship since that 2002 season (heck the Raiders and Dolphins haven’t even made it out of the wild card round since then), and given each team’s current ownership/leadership, they don’t appear likely to do so before we reach the 2030’s. A long string of abysmal drafts for each. Since the merger thru 1999 (ok 1995 if being picky) they won 10 SB collectively. As a big Raiders fan back in the day there’s no comparison between then and now. Shula, Landry, and Madden are surely shaking their heads in disbelief from up in the aether.
Yes. The Cardinals are a division rival of Seattle and I still cheered them on. (Also, Gardner Minshew was in as QB and my wife is a WSU alumnus so we were cheering for Uncle Rico.)
I just wanted to see Jerry Jones’s shocked old face at the end of the game. It was so worth it.
I doubt I’m the only one rooting for the Vikings to trade for Kirk Cousins. Kyler Murray is pretty much the most disinterested QB I’ve ever seen, and the Vikings have the D to make a deep playoff run.
NFL trade deadline a week from Tuesday. Could be fun.
And, since the Colts are clearly tanking, I have to find out who it is for.
Set it on Fire for Jeremiah?
Be the Best Faker for Mestemaker?
Do Less for Moore?
Let 'em win for Darian?
The Pats got a fairly unimpressive win over the Dolphins. Hopefully Hunter Henry won’t miss any time, the Pats have barely any receivers left on the roster.
I live near Houston, so I’m hoping they’re Aching for Arch.
Another Manning in the building: great for PR, questionable draft pick
