NFL Draft 2012

Rich Eisen was saying that the punter pick was, “straining the capabilities of the draft tracker software.”

OK, I suppose this makes me a bad person, but all this forced jingoistic military crap that’s standard operating procedure for sporting events these days turns my stomach. It’s so horribly phony and it’s completely inorganic and out of place. It almost insults the intelligence of the American viewer.

ETA: LOLOLOLOLOL Carroll strikes again. Nice work dipshit.

I know I’m an American hating librul hater of America, but I tire of the military/NFL codependent relationship.

:smack:

I hate it when they put the trades up wrong…

Quite the simulpost there.

Get out of my head!!!

Don’t be hating on Roger Staubach and Chad Henning.

I can see how the military type would be a big consumer of the NFL brand. I let it slide because generally I can fast forward through it. No worse than seeing pink uniforms for a month.

Another My Guy going. I hate the fact that I now want to root for the Seahawks QB’s.

Gah. This could go on all night, stop stalking me.

Brandon Brooks, yes, yet another Brandon, was on my radar as a guard pickup around this time. How did he not go to the combine?

Time for Massie to the Jets?

ETA: Nope. Handful of guys on the board here that I’d love for the Bears, starting to brace myself for disappointment.

Bears up. If they don’t go O Line, I’ll be ever so happy.

Is it just me or does that Egnew guy look like a big receiver, not a tight end?

Completely, yes.

I’m sure this is confirmation bias but I swear every draft the commercial breaks and cut away interviews are always right when the Bears are drafting, as if no one from Chicago watches this thing. Grr.

Darn, I had Brandon Hardin bolded on my chart. The 49ers need some depth at Safety. Good pickup for Chicago.

(another Brandon)

Oh yeah, I forgot, this is the part of the draft where Lovie picks redundant safeties with durability concerns.

I think I like Hardin and it’s probably the end of Major Wright, but I’m more more worried about the CB position.

And there goes Fleming. Son of a bitch.

After watching the Bears’ draft party at Soldier Field, I never, ever want to hear a Bears fans referring to Packers fans as fat or unattractive.

Heh, some guy I never heard of who has an injury ridden career. Thanks Bears.

Do these commentators ever say a bad thing about a draft pick?

Your premise is flawed. See, all Wisconsinites are fat and unattractive. It comes with all the cheese and sausages. Bears fans who will pony up cash to go to the spaceship that crashed by the lake on a Friday night are uniformly fat and unattractive. The attractive ones are all finishing dinner at Roku before heading to Enclave and Underground tonight.
