NFL draft

Thinking more on this (or maybe drinking more  ), LenDale White might be a good pick for the Pack to challenge Ahman Green for the starting role.

And at long last, the White wait (“What’s White’s weight?”) is over. Good pick for the Titans, who also reunited two USC players.

Er, never mind. :frowning:

How quickly we run from Samkon Gado, huh?

White to Tennessee. If Brown stays healthy I think he’ll be a backup. What a huge fall for my boy Henry over the course of 2 years.

Geeze, I was starting to wonder if he’d slide long far enough for the Broncos to pick him up. I thought they were going to take him before they traded for Walker (a good trade in my opinion.) I expect the Broncos to take a RB with the 61st pick, unless Shanahan trades that one too. (I swear, does anyone trade as much as Shanahan seems to?)

I’d be a tradin’ madman. It’d be so friggin awesome being able to do that.

Keep in mind Gado would be good trade bait if we could jettison him. But I have no problem with him being number 2 or 3.

And who the hell is Daryn Colledge? With all the trading to get him, he better prove to be a talent.

sigh Off to study this guy.

OK, so the Bears trade back, passing up Chad Jackson, and with the acquired pick they take a unknown DB who would have probably been there in the 4th round? I have faith that he’s a talented kid, I do. The scouting isn’t the Bears issues, it’s the concept of draft day economics.

We could have had Chad Jackson and that guy in the 4th round.

Hmmm, Youboty to the Pack? Any thoughts on a better pick? Looks like he may be the best avail (and a CB no less) when GB picks.

Dude, this day has been an utter and complete disaster. I didn’t think it was possible to out-do the level of spite and hatred I carried last season.

I only hope we manage to salvage Pope with the 57th pick.

Jesus, all I want is info on Colledge and everything in his profile I click takes me to Deportes Futball or some random player. We need better servers at the 4 letter network.

Honestly, I’m trying not to laugh so hard as give myself a stroke. Partly out of self-preservation, partly out of pity for you.

Damn…can’t…stop…need…EMs…service. :stuck_out_tongue:

Jennings? Could have been worse, I guess. Don’t know much about him but anything to increase offense is a bonus in theory. The defense was already solid, and the offense (healthy) was pretty solid.

We better get some value from those trades.

BIL is dragging me out to the bar. Wife is the one that set it up.

I’m thinking maybe there was too much football for the estrogen in the house today. I’ll check in later for the latest news. Thanks for putting up with me this long.

Goddamn Giants.

If it were me, I would have just stayed put and taken Holmes or DeAngelo Williams, neither of whom had any business being on the board at #25, or maybe even Justice. That said, the Giants got good value for the move down, so I’m fine with the trade in principle.

What a waste, though. Obviously they covet this DE, which is why they traded down in the first place, but this stinks. At the least, this is the Giants’ way of breaking the bad news that Justin Tuck sucks.

Finally, they gave up way too much to move up 12 spots in the 2nd Round so they can take a WR with a nice name who was never, you know, a very good football player in college. Jesus.

And the Bears grab another fucking DB. At least this guy addresses our need for a return man. If Pope is gone before the Bears next pick I’m breaking my TV.

Tell me why we pissed away $20 million on a Nickelback with felony charges if we were going to piss away our draft on DBs?

I don’t like this Sportsline quote:

" Bush will do the one thing in New Orleans that no one in the team’s 39-year history has been able to do: sell tickets."

Bullshit. The Saints sold out 35+ games in a row despite a ~.500 record. Say the Saints have never been popular amonst other demographics, the Saints have had no problem in the past selling games out, and implying so will make people feel not so bad about moving them to our #1 pick’s alma mater.
