NFL Offseason 2024

The Giants have revealed retro uniforms for their 100th season, and they are hideous.

For some reason they make me think of a roller derby team, am I the only one?

Maybe it’s just the stance in the photo.

Ugh. That looks hideous.

Here’s a new photo from the Giants’ own web site, it looks even worse:

Daniel Jones almost looks like he’s standing there nervously holding the ball with no pants and a Nike swoosh tattoo on his hip.

Look like they’re ready to party on the beach like it’s 1899.

One of the Packers’ first throwback uniforms (from the league’s 75-year celebration in 1994) also had tan pants – to evoke the look of old-style canvas football pants – and I had the same reaction then.

As far as I can tell, they haven’t (at least not yet), but the NFL has.

So basically, “He’s his own idiot and don’t blame us, we also think he’s a moron.”

I’m a member of a bunch of Chiefs fans social media groups. There are far more people who are supportive of Butker than oppose him. Most of the comments castigate the intolerance of the Left, even though most of the anti-Butker comments speak to his right to say what he thinks, even though they don’t agree with him.

Chiefs fandom (and much of NFL fandom) leans considerably right. They don’t call it Camarohead for nothin’.

I would agree with this statement.

I have never heard that before and now I’ll never forget it.

WR Devante Parker has retired after 9 seasons.

Denver Broncos LB Drew Sanders is expected to miss most of the season after tearing his Achilles tendon.

In the upcoming 2024-2025 season, the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs will play on every day of the week except Tuesday.

They open the season on Thursday, September 5, hosting the Ravens.

They play the Bucs on Monday Night Football on November 4.

They play the Raiders on Friday, November 29.

They play the Texans on Saturday, December 21.

They play the Steelers on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25.

And of course they play most of their games on Sundays.

I’m not impressed until it’s all the same week.

They could do that!

“Patrick Mahomes has gone into the blue tent for evaluation, and we’re getting reports… Oh this is not good. Apparently his arm has fallen off. I can only wonder how this impacts his career going forward.”

Which arm?

“Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is listed as ‘questionable’ for today’s game while he completes the League’s arm protocol.”

The Chiefs will visit the White House on May 31, meeting with President Biden to celebrate their Super Bowl victory.

One wonders if Harrison Butker will attend, and, if he does, will have anything to say.
