Let’s pretend for a moment that the Chiefs and the Broncos were tied with a 12-4 after the regular season. Now, let’s say that they split their series, (which, in fact they did)so each team was 1-1. Furthermore, let’s say they had the same W-L record in their division (which, in fact, they do) 5-1.
I’m assuming the next tie-breaker be the AFC W-L record? Right now KC has 10-2 and the Broncos are 9-3. But what if they were both 10-2? What would be the tie-breaker after that to decide who would have the division title and the 1st round bye?
