NFL Playoff Thread 2026

just hope it’s not wet also, cause we know Purdy has grip problems with the football under those conditions

Yep. You can watch it on the Prime Video channel on Twitch:

The Time is Now for Josh Allen. No Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. No Ravens and Lamar Jackson. This is his best chance to get to/win a Super Bowl. No pressure, though.

For the first time in 6 years a team other than the Bills, Chiefs, Ravens and Bengals will make the AFC championship game, if the Bills lose two will.

Bonus points if you can say who the last team was.

Without looking anything up, it seems to obviously be the Patriots, no?

The Pats were last in the AFC championship game in 2018/9, the answer was for 2019/20

Nice, good trivia question. Caught me with the trap answer. I looked it up and it is highly unlikely I would have guessed that correctly.

The Panthers finally score, lose two to injuries.

Weird that the spread on the Packers - Bears game hasn’t moved since Post #1. It looks like the betting public is expecting a tight game. If I were to put money on it, I’d bet on Da Bears based on sentiment, and betting on sentiment makes the sportsbooks billions. So I shan’t bet.

I did not look this up. My guess is the Titans.

Correct

I think the Rams definitely fucked up by not kicking the FG with about a minute to go in the half, which would have put them up 20-7. Yeah Carolina then drove for a TD and we can give them that in this alternate timeline, but 11 game minutes later and it’s a tie game.

Watching Scott’s undeniablely illegal headshot on Davante Adams makes it harder to rootfor the Panthers.

Rams taking headshots as well.

That was a great game with a lot of impressive plays. I’m a little sad Carolina lost. It’s always fun to root for the underdog and it seemed like they played their hearts out

Rams escape Carolina, but it certainly wasn’t easy.

Bears vs. Packers next, on Prime Video.

This has been available with Thursday night games for a while but if you’ve never watched the prime vision version of the broadcast it’s really interesting and IMO better and more like what a modern football broadcast should be

Dumb Packers play.

4th and 6, Bears have the ball near the Packers 40. They go for it, throw it, and if gets intercepted around the 12 yard line.

If the DB hadnt caught it, they’d have a turnover on downs near their own 40. Instead they get it around their own 12. As the announcers said, that cost Green Bay 27 yards.

If it was intentional, it’s a pretty smart arm punt (if you don’t think your kicker could make a FG at that range). It clearly wasn’t though, because Caleb was upset after the pick.

And they immediately drive 87 yards down the field for a touchdown.

Packers offense looking pretty damn good thus far.
