NFL Week 1: The Season Is Upon Us!!

It’s really weird seeing Jay Cutler smile.

Ever seen holding called without physical contact? I’ll see if I can get a screenshot for you, because it actually happened. Or how about a QB in the last three years take an open handed slap to the facemask hard enough to whip his head around without a penalty? I’ll try to get screenshots for you since I’m sure you’ll be open minded about it.

But I guess you forgot these were replacement refs. And maybe you didn’t see Schefter’s report about the NFL mixing and matching the refs so that the best refs play the nationally televised games and the worst refs get sent to the others, including this game. And it shows.

I’m not even watching the game, so I have no opinion about the truth or falseness of you assertion. I was merely pointing out that you made the assertion.

I’m fully aware you get no mileage about complaining about the refs. This is warranted.

I’m pretty sure there’s nothing in sports more depressing than being a Bills fan.

The Titans just got two players hurt on one play. Nate Washington and Jake Locker are both down on the field. Washington looks like it might be a head or neck injury.

The coach that was yelling in my ear last Friday would like to disagree with you.

Anyway, in the NFL case, don’t attribute to malice that which is painfully obviously incompetence.

Hey, the Eagles are about to give up a lead in the 4th quarter! This is 2011!

4 Vick interceptions including a pick 6 to give the Brownies the lead. Ouch.

Wow, after falling behind on a late TD, the Vikings just converted a 55 yard FG with 4 seconds left to send the game to OT.

As a Redskins fan I am fighting off giddiness.

New OT rule in effect in Minnesota. Vikings kick off with OT lead.

Uh oh.

As a Redskin fan, you should know better.

It’s all good.

The refs were about to make a serious mistake by allowing a challenge on a non-challengable play. They even went in and looked at it before someone apparently told them the rules. So then the ref came out and ruled it couldn’t be challenged. Bizarre.

The Brown’s defense looks like it’s for real.

Their offense looks like it’s real bad. Grats to the Eagles who need to play better than they did today to make the playoffs.

I wonder who the Brown’s head coach will be next year?

If the Browns’ QB was any other team’s starter in the league, any other one, and they win by at least 14. Maybe 21. Atrocious. Shouldn’t count as a win.

Yeah, I was wondering why that wasn’t a delay of game penalty on Cleveland?

The Niners have a huge test against the Packers. Good thing it isn’t a winter game at Lambeau.
