NFL Week 11

I am also trying to figure out what Manziel did that was so bad. Was he missing practice or coming to practice hungover? I don’t even see that he was embarrassing the team. It seems to me that his main failing is that he is not a great quarterback right out of school. He may not have what it takes to be a great NFL quarterback but the reason he is not a great quarterback is probably not because partying. It seems like the Browns are trying to find non football reasons to get rid of Manziel.

I’m just reporting. I don’t give a shit what the Browns do. But considering that since being drafted Manziel has been to rehab and been involved in a number of incidents that were profoundly embarrassing for the franchise, I don’t think they’re being unreasonable by telling him to stay out of the news completely. If this was his first offense, sure, it would be a ridiculous overreaction.

Earlier in the year it was reported that he was pretty unhappy that he got benched for McCown again after played and won in game 2, but that he was putting in hard work in practice, meetings, etc. He fucked around all last year and didn’t take the game seriously. This year he took the game seriously but fucked around in his off-time. They’re acting like he wasn’t taking the game seriously, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Still, he’s a chronic fuckup, so he gets held to higher standards for minor shit than others.

It’s hard for me to say how dumb this whole thing is without being on the inside, but it seems clear that Pettine hates Manziel, so he may have been looking for an excuse to jump the gun on this.

Mike Pettine doesn’t like Johnny Manziel. This has been known all year. The first little excuse he got to bench Johnny, he jumped at it.

Mark my words, Manziel isn’t going anywhere. We’ll be dealing with this nonsense all next season.

In other news:
Stedman Bailey got shot

He’s in critical but stable condition, and apparently it’s not life threatening

I think at this point everyone would do better with a change of scenery.
