NFL Week 14

Nope. Unless the announcers are dyed in the wool Bears fans too.

I have no love at all for the Bears, but from the little bit of this one I’ve seen I have to agree with Omni on this one. Some major no-calls here…

I hate when that happens to your team and then the announcers just say “Well, they’re letting them play” which typically translates to “the defense is getting away with murder and the Refs have the other team against the spread”.

Man, that was a shit call on Afalava. Grant steps out at the very last second and Afalava hit him. What’s he supposed to do? Guess if the back is going to surrender or not?

Looking at the box score, Freeman has a 1.3 passer rating for this game. Clemons is at 65.7. I thought 40 something was the lowest you could get.

Josh Freeman 6/19 33 yards 1.7 yards average 0 TDs 2 INTs

Brandon Marshall has just tied TO’s single-game receptions record (20)… and there’s 9:44 left to play in the game.

If every pass is incomplete you get a 39.6 - but you can go lower by throwing picks.

Lovie, you stupid fuck! Why would you waste that timeout!?!?!

Then I’m going to root for him to throw more picks so that he can get below 0.

The Broncos are making every conceivable effort to lose this fucking game.

I want Lovie fired before the sun goes down today.

Can’t do that, I’m afraid. Plus, he’s already been beaten to the 0 mark - off the top of my head, Jeff Garcia and Eli Manning have both had 0 rated games in the last ten years.

Off topic: anyone else get the idea Peyton Manning has Dallas Clark in his fantasy league? Touchdown catches of 10, 1 and 1.

Marshall just broke the record. 21 catches, 200 yards, 2 touchdowns.

The Vikings won in moderately comfortable fashion against a good team, and without one of their primary playmakers.

The Packers looked pathetic today, and needed their usual TLC to barely hold on against the lousy Bears. The Vikes clinched a playoff spot today, but not quite the dvision yet. That’s ok, they’ll get it next week.

Well, Packers get another ugly win against an inferior opponent. Wasn’t pretty, but I’ll take it. Rodgers had an off game, but luckily Grant picked up the slack and the defense came through yet again. For all the whining of bitter Bears fans, I saw all of one uncalled PI, Alfalavaalavfa’s hit was late, and the cheap shots were the best the Bears could do. Luckily, the Packers mistakes weren’t enough to sink them.

On the downside, Forte actually passed the 4 ypc, so good for him, and Cutler looked really good… on two of the drives. Also on the downside, the O Line still needs work if the Pack are going to make a run in the playoffs and they have to quit with the turnovers.

But it was nice to see the running game pick up a bit and Charles Woodson adding to his credentials for Defensive Player of the Year.

Bring on the Steelers!!

Only a Viking fan could conclude that one of the most penalized teams in the NFL get love from the refs. You’re guys’ delusions are amazing, yet oddly enough, not the least whit surprising.

Saints keep the dream alive for another week, 26-23 over Atlanta. With the win, they clinch a first round bye.

GEAUX SAINTS!

The Cardinals need to take care of business against the 49ers on Monday night. This Cardinals team needs to show that they don’t play down to the level of their opponents. Let’s lock up the NFC West tomorrow so we can get ready for the playoffs. This is going to be a brutal playoffs with the Cards probably having to win in Minnesota or New Orleans to get back to the Super Bowl.

I would love to see a Saints v Colts Super Bowl, if only to finally shut the stupid '72 Dolphins up once and for all!

I don’t know why exactly, but every time I see Phillip Rivers’ face, I get this intense urge to punch a kitten.

He just has one of those faces, I guess.

He may be adorable, but I’m not sure if he’s that adorable. :stuck_out_tongue:
