Did you expect Joe Webb to light up the scoreboard?
Joe Webb plays defense? I’ll be damned.
Yep - that’s a good ‘ol fashioned whuppin’ right there
He’s given the Bears the ball a couple of times. Two more TDs came from special teams.
Oh, is THAT how it works?
Also refs.
I wanna kish Shuzy Kolber.
It would make me very happy if Favre’s last play was a sack against the Bears.
Yeah. He needs to do everyone (and I mean everyone) a favor and retire.
I want to see him try another year using a walker.
That’s how it worked in this game. Did you watch it? I don’t know what you’re rolling your eyes at. The Vikings offense and special teams didn’t give their defense much of a chance.
What’s with the Favre hate? What do you guys have against greatness?
Nice strawman you have there.
I saw a lousy defense, lousy offense, and lousy special teams. But by all means, put it on the rookie quarterback. Rolleyes indeed. There aren’t enough rolleyes for that.
What did you have against greatness back when he was actually great? You certainly didn’t recognize any of that when he was with the Packers, but no sooner did he change teams than you changed your stripes, and here you are carrying his jock. It’s pathetic.
I never badmouthed Favre when he was with the Packers. I actually said pretty good things about him. You remember it wrong. I bitched about the fellatio from the announcers, but not about Favre himself.
Time to go home, Mr. Namath.
I have nothing against greatness and I don’t hate Brett Favre. I’d call for his retirement even if (especially if) he was the Bears’ QB. His greatness is over and every game seems like a strain for him. He’s 41-yo now, old for the NFL, can’t stay healthy for a quarter, and he’s obviously not helping the Vikings win games. I understand the Vikings don’t have a lot to look foward to at QB, but that’s not a very good reason to cling to a QB who should be retired.
The Vikings have no intention of clinging to him, believe me. Favre is really, truly done after this year, and this time even Favre knows it.
Yeah; there was a hint of capitulation in his voice and words. That press conference had the air of a retirement announcement.
It certainly did…though, it’s not as if Favre hasn’t had similar sorts of press conferences before.
I strongly suspect he’s done. But, we’ve been down this road with him before. Honestly, I won’t believe he’s truly retired until it’s this time next year*, and he hasn’t played.
- – If there’s a strike or lockout next year, I might not even believe it then.
