The Cards just look pathetic today. This is a better team that they’re showing. When this schedule came out, I figured the only chance the Cards had would be if the Pats had locked up their playoff spot and they were resting their starters. Now, it is the Cards who have locked up their playoff spot.
The Titans are impressing the hell out of me today. I thought this would be the Steelers game for sure.
Alas, my Steelers where just outplayed.
Dude, they’re only good at home, which is an advantage they will not enjoy in the playoffs.
They are overrated by some, and by others they are what we thought they were: a decent team on top of one of the worst divisions in football.
Rothlisberger sucked monkey balls in that game. It was refreshing to see, especially since myself and many other viewed the Titans as a completely overrated team. Now I’m not so certain.
Titans/Panthers would be a great SB.
I’m stunned to see all that snow in Seattle. I don’t think the Jets can win the last two games. But, this is a rare game which might favor the visiting team.
GO BILLS!!!
They will need to play quite a bit better though to pull this out. 10-0 Denver already.
I am both pleased and dismayed with our win today. We finally looked like the team that we were supposed to be. A team that could win in the playoffs. A good team. I am dismayed because if we had played like that all year I wouldn’t have to be sitting here hoping for the Bills to pull off an upset.
The Browns ownership thinks its classier and looks better for the rest of the NFL to not fire a coach in midseason, but I’d rather they have fired him a month ago and ran a lottery open to anyone to see who would be the interim coach. Would’ve kept things interesting.
The Cards have beaten every NFC West team on the road. The Cards can win their playoff game at home. It will be the second round of the playoffs that I’ll be sweating.
Let’s go Seahawks! I used to live in Seattle, but I just want them to beat the Jets.
WOOOOO! I didn’t think there was any way possible our season would come down to our rematch against Denver next week! Amazing!
Go Bills!
Does anybody know if the Bills have a fight song that I can download somewhere? I am going to make it my ring for the week!
Have you seen the records for the other teams in the NFC West? They are a combined 12-33!! Aren’t those the only road games the Cards have won? What are they, like 3-5 on the road, 5-2 at home, for a stunning 8-7 record overall?
I’m a Bengals fan, so I naturally gravitate towards the underdog, but the Cards just don’t look all that impressive. The Panthers are the best team in the NFC right now.
And LOL at the Steelers.
Go Panthers?
They do. It’s based on “Shout” and I’m pretty sure that even Bills fans wouldn’t want it as a ringtone. But hey, go for it. I’m glad my crappy team could make week 17 interesting, at least.
Oof. What a game. The Giants deserved it. The Panthers had zero turnovers, only a few penalties. They both played their games the way they like. The Giants just beat 'em.
Well, crap. I really hope this isn’t the beginning of the Stephen King ending I’ve come to expect from the Panthers. It was a great game, though.
I posted my agonized thoughts in the NFC East thread, but what a game. What a game. Go Big Blue!
So now the Patriots have to beat Buffalo in Buffalo (doable, you would think, but no guarantee) AND hope against all the available evidence that the Jets have enough heart left in them to beat Miami in East Rutherford. Either that or beat Buffalo and hope that the Ravens lose, which seems unlikely.
Some interesting angles here. Both games are at 1:00, if the Patriots get a big lead early the Jets might realize mid-game their season is over and would essentially be able to decide which of their rivals they want to go to the playoffs, Miami or NE.
Also Chad Pennington, who has been playing really well lately, gets to go back to the team that cut him loose for Brett Favre (who has been playing really badly lately) and show them what a mistake they made.
Eric Mangini could be coaching for his job, if the the Jets don’t make the playoffs the carnivorous NY sports media will be howling for blood.
Agreed! Pretty awesome stuff, and we’re playing at home (in SD) with Denver coming off a series of losses.
Ohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohpleaseohplease. :):eek::):eek:
Dolphins-Jets has actually been moved to 4.
I’m just happy my 49ers didn’t screw up my prediction. The trick to beating the Rams, apparently, is hold them to 16 points.
