NFL Week 3 Discussion

I loved Hillis when he was a Bronco and always thought he was drastically underrated and underused. Trading him for freakin’ Brady Quinn has been one of the more painful in a long series of painful moves by the underkind McDaniels.

Thank god there’s no penalty for excessive flexing.

Back off, he’s ours!

Naturally Seattle is getting over on the Chargers. Figures. The Broncos-Colts game put me to sleep in the first half, so that’s not awesome.

Man, the Redskins defense is porous. I have to give the Rams credit, they’ve found a strategy that works.

Perfection.

I didn’t get to watch either the Ravens-Browns or the Bengals-Panthers games. Just watching the scores, though, it seemed like the Ravens and the Bengals really struggled to eke out wins. Were they really struggling as much as the scores would suggest? It’s hard not to start to feel much more comfortable as a Steeler fan in terms of the divisional competition.

Isn’t there a penalty for calling consecutive time outs? In the Buffalo at NE game, the Bills called two timeouts in the same play. Bellichek was on the sidelines having a fit, yelling at one of the refs, but the announcers didn’t give a reason.

Even on the Play-by-Play on NFL.com it says:

But the Bills were awarded the timeout during the game. What’s the rule on that?

I think it’s supposed to be a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

Austin collie is tearing it up on my fantasy team…from the bench.

God damn it, Rivers. How many times does that throw into the slot have to fail before you try something else?

I wish my opponent had benched him…

My proposed strategy of “draft Antonio Gates and the rest will take of itself” is looking pretty good. Shame I only exercised it in one league.

The Bengals would have crushed the Panthers if they are actually any good. Palmer looked god-awful, and should have had two more interceptions that were dropped by Panthers defenders. Yes, the field was a mess from the rain, but the Panthers are bad enough that a good team would have trounced them.

Dallas begins its climb to the top of the NFC East.

Goddamn, the Niners are awesomely terrible this year. I honestly don’t know what the hell’s happened but we’re probably gonna be 0-4 next week. What the Hell?

The Rams ended a long list of bad streaks with that win. The offense looks like it may be coming together, but thier D has really gelled. If they can play like this from now onn the next 5 games look less scary.

What are they saying about Steven Jackson’s groin injury? (Yes, he is on my fantasy team…)

You should maybe cover Dustin Keller or something, Dolphins.

BS call on the Miami db. What is he supposed to do there?
