NFL Week 3

I think they were slipping this week. Finally had to punt … once … not in garbage time.

And I 2nd Railer13 about betting anything other than pocket change.

As Chris Berman would say, “…and that’s why they play the games.”

Between my best friend’s Eagles and my 49ers, I’d better just retire to bed for the day.

The theme of “Where were you on this day…” is now changed to, “Where were you for The Jordan Davis Game?”:roll_eyes::eagle::eagle::eagle::eagle::heart::heart:

When the Aints go staggering in…

They outscored Seattle in the second half. Something to build on.

Yes, when Seattle put their backups in the Saints were able to compete. So, now they know where their level is.

I’ve been telling you guys the Browns defense is incredible this year. All we have to do is hold teams to 10 points and try to run the ball 74 times per game like it’s 1932 all over again. If the Browns had the, say, 22nd best QB in the league they’d be a superbowl contender.

Or just put a running back under center. Don’t even use a QB.

Russell Wilson is worse than we imagined.

The NFC meme war subreddit is all Browns fans today

And Gano should probably Ganot try to kick footballs anymore.

A working leg is probably a requirement for the job of placekicker.

The Bears actually looked dangerous today.

But that probably had to do with us playing against Eberflus.

As of right now, Josh Allen holds records for the best performance by any NFL QB in history for his/their first 7 seasons:

  • Most wins
  • Most touchdowns
  • Most passing yards

Tied for last in Super Bowl appearances with 0.

Bit of a nitpick, but didn’t he set those records last year? I believe he’s in his 8th season now.

Since this one only came on my national feed after the default one (Pack/Browns) ended, and right when they were literally crossing the goal line after the block, I did not know when I crafted my post above that the Eagles had also blocked the previous FG attempt by the Rams. So four blocks across the league in the space of 20 min. (tho Tampa managed to come back and win despite theirs).

How did the backup QBs do this week:
Vikings vs Bengals with both: Wentz did okay (B), the team won with big plays off turnovers. Wentz did enough. Browning was not so hot (D) as the team was dead and buried by halftime.

Commanders vs Raiders: Mariota showed what an experienced quality backup could do. Solid performance (A), team as well. Didn’t skip a beat with him running the show.

49ers vs Cardinals: Mac Jones was just okay (C+) because they won. Should have gotten more than 3 field goals and a TD out of their yardage.

Jets vs Mayfield: Taylor (D) was lost until the 4th, did fine in the hurry-up (B). Another wild finish for Mayfield. Jets remain the Jets.

Nick Bosa - torn ACL, his season is done.

Damn, that’s the guy who basically won the game against Seattle, forcing Abe Lucas into Sam Darnold to make that final fumble happen. If he wasn’t there, I’m convinced Seattle would have won. That’s a huge loss.
