NFL Week 4 - RIP Mike Heimerdinger

Jason Babin has seven sacks in almoat four full games. Best DLine in the NFL. The rest of the D stinks.

Oh my god this ref has it in for the Eagles.

Houston did everything they could to give the game to the Steelers, but they just wouldn’t take it.

Hey guys. Dio has been unbanned, and he’s an Eagles fan now.

Can we officially add the Eagles to the suck for luck race?

Bears got it done. That bend but don’t break defense is bending an awful lot these days, giving up 550 yards to the Cams. Should have had one if not two more interceptions if Tim Jennings holds onto the damn ball, but they buckled down when needed.

Marion Barber got into the end zone and proceeded to do a face plant after failing to complete a back flip in celebration. This bitch has a lot of nerve for a guy who’s been on the shelf for 6 weeks with a ticky tack injury.

Lots of Bears lineman got rotated into the game today due to minor injuries with Chris Spencer even playing some RT. The protection held up nonetheless which was good. 4-3 teams just don’t seem to give them much trouble, which is a little bizarre.

Well that’s the season

The last time Riveron officiated an Eagles game. Can I cross the bridge now?

At least it didn’t end up costing the Eagles the game. They blew another second half lead in a game they should have had under control. What a shitty team the Eagles are.

No. That contest is for 0-16. The Eagles have already lost that race (by winning). Minnesota, St. Louis, Miami, and Indianapolis (!) are the only teams competing.

Lions come back from 27-3 to win, 34-30.

First time opening 4-0 since 1980. And in my life-long memory.

Well they certainly belong in that group based on the play on the field.

I know I say this a half a dozen times a year, but the NFL’s broadcast rules that forbid networks from showing the end of games after the 4:15 game starts is fucking retarded.

Nice comeback by Detroit.

But there’s only one way to beat the Eagles.

And implosion by the Cowpokes.

Ya know what I love about Tony Romo? He’s clutch.

I was actually exactly right the entire time. There is only one way to beat the Eagles. I just didn’t have the right way.

Line up on Sunday.

I’m not sure if it’s Colt McCoy or the playcalling, but… damn, is it stupid. Down 3 touchdowns with 20 minutes left to go in the game? Throw 3 yard hitch routes 9 times in a row. We were going for 14 play, 75 yard scoring drives that ate up 9 minutes when we were behind by 3 TDs. I’m not sure if it’s McCoy getting scared and checking down too fast, the receivers completely unable to get open, or the offensive play design - I’m leaning towards McCoy - but it’s pathetic.

On the plus side, the Cowboys choked epically which is always fun to watch.

You know, maybe it’s that McCoy has a noodle arm and no one wanted him coming out of college because of it.

The arm concerns were due to an injury he suffered in his last game in college. His arm strength really was pretty weak last year but he’s improved on it substantially, moving him up from bad to okayish. He’s certainly capable of throwing snappy 10-20 yard routes, but he rushes right to his 3 yard dumpoffs way too fast. Part of that is the offensive design - it’s an extreme form of a dink and dunk offense - but it’s pretty ridiculous to play that way down 3 scores.
