Geno Atkins tore his ACL.

I’d just like to point out that I drafted Giovanni Bernard in two out of three SDMB fantasy leagues.

Justin Blackmon proves he’s an idiot. Another suspension for substance abuse.

I 100% think marijuana should be legal. But, don’t be a moron, if you’re being paid like an NFL player, lay off the weed.

Story

Not many excitig match ups. But I’m probably just jaded because I’m a Browns fan.

ahem I traded Blackmon for Mike Williams in a fantasy league, having foreseen this sort of occurrence.

Of course, Mike Williams is on IR, so it’s not like he’s a great deal more productive right now.

Last Sunday’s Dallas/Detroit game was not a very exciting matchup. Not much interest for the Pittsburgh/Oakland game. And the Seahawks were prettymuch expected to knock the stuffing out of the Rams. Not to mention yesterday’s game, how often do you see a DE make the winning score in OT?

Expect the unexpected.

Dallas/Detroit not exciting? Dez Bryant versus Megatron? Two of the league’s top offenses in a dome? Dallas, the team that finds exhilarating new ways to lose every other week?

whoosh

I was wondering if anyone else has been watching the FXX show “The League”? If not, I highly recommend it. It’s absolutely hysterical.

Red Zone Channel just said Ryan Mathews is the only RB in the league that has back to back 100 yard games this year. What craziness is that?

Jets up 20-14 on my Saints at the half.

I think it clearly illustrates how pass-driven the league is becoming, and also how many teams utilize multiple RB’s in their offenses. But it is indeed crazy, having grown up in the era of RB’s being centerpieces of offenses, racking up multiple hundred yard games per season, etc. But, it was only what, a season ago when Adrian Peterson rushed for over 2,000 yards? I think it’s at least an indication of a shift away from the importance of RB’s with the exception of an elite few like AP, and they are pretty rare.

The Bills can’t stop kicking themselves in the nuts. They gave up a 101-yd runback on an interception on a play where they should have scored a touchdown (a 14 point swing.) And just now fumbled in their own redzone, which KC’s defense converted for 6 more.

The Panthers are playing good football. Very balanced. The defense is very solid and opportunistic. Their offense is tough to scheme against because they have a lot of weapons. Newton did not have a good game today and they are still up 21 on the Falcons. That being said, they still haven’t beaten a good team. Next two weeks against SF and NE will be big tests.

When Philly goes true up tempo, they’re about as exciting as it gets.

That was a hell of a first drive for an offense everyone has figured out.

Oh Weeden, how do we get rid of you? Browns are looking pretty good against the Ravens, defense is playing great, team scored, everyone is pumped up. Weeden comes in due to injury and the whole team is going to end up deflating I bet.

Tampa Bay is up 3 TDs on Seattle. Odd. Campbell is back in. Whew. I know the consensus here is that Campbell is the worst thing ever, but you have no idea how much Weeden just sucks the life out of everything. Campbell is massively better, he at least doesn’t drag the rest of the team down.

Just came here to mention that. Seattle has looked rather shaky of late.

Browns defense is destroying the illegitimate entity. This is refreshing.
