Hahahahahahahaha
AAAAAAAAAAhahahahahaha
I let my wife had the TV at halftime because I had homework to do and Nick Foles was having a pretty good game. Imagine the volume of the “holy shit” I emitted when I checked the fantasy scores just now and saw 7 TDs.
Looks like KC is still the only undefeated NFL team. This weekend Denver had a bye, next week KC has one. So even if Denver wins next week, and then beats KC the following week, KC would still be tied for the lead in their division.
Big change from last year, huh?
Given the Giants were on a bye, I’d have a hard time imagining a worse set of results. Lost both my 1-On-1 Pool matches, and the rest of the NFC East won. About the only positive is seeing Eagles fans once again think they have a QB.
I can’t kick myself enough for not picking the Browns – I knew they were going to win this…knew it…but then I remembered that I knew they’d beat the Chiefs last week, so I picked against them. Fuck.
And it was really cruel of the Seahawks to pretend the Bucs had a chance. Bunch of meanies.
I’m not sure this week is all that indicative. The Bills racked up 200 yards rushing and could have beat the Chiefs (who they held to just over 200 yards total offense in the game), but for a pick 6, a fumble return for a TD, another interception, and not gettting a single turnover. The Jets surprised the Saints, in large part by getting 180 yards on the ground. CJ2K and the Titans put up almost 200 yards rushing and won, despite two interceptions and only 185 yards passing from Jake Locker. The Redskins’ 209 yards rushing was huge in their victory. The Bucs/Seahawks game had both teams with about 200 yards rushing. While it is pretty clear a great QB and passing game is a huge boost to a NFL’s team chances of winning, there are still games that, on a regular basis, are being decided on the ground.
I don’t disagree, my contention was that it’s become a lot less important for teams to always have a strong running game. Heck, the Patriots have been proving that for years. I recall seeing stats for teams where the talking heads would say something like “The Rams are undefeated in their last 20 games when Steven Jackson rushes for 120 yards or more” or something like that. That stat has been pushed aside.
The spread offense (and the pistol) is here to stay.
I’m not watching Texans/Colts, just following the GameCenter feed. Is Andre Johnson just getting wide open or is Keenum playing really well?
I’m with Collinsworth on this one - I think that was a horrible call, and on review nonetheless. They should have had a higher standard of evidence before overturning the call on the field.
Looks like Gary Kubiak had a heart attack on something on the field. Taken to the hospital…
A bit of both.
Johnson’s gotten some passes in tight coverage and has also managed to trick the DBs. But Keenum also has a better arm than Schaub. You can tell the Colts weren’t ready for a Texans QB who could toss it down the field.
RE: Kubiak. Who knows? The initial report was he had a normal heart rate. Coaching is hard on the body.
I hope Kubiak is okay…but Lordy Bagordy this Case Keenum kid is having a game!
Well, not a heart attack. There’s that, at least.
…
So last week I pretty much completely blamed Davone Bess for losing the game against the Chiefs. And I think it was justified - it wasn’t just one critical moment, it was several of them. But he really bounced back this week, in particular making a pretty great, difficult fourth down grab. And two touchdowns. So good for him.
Wouldn’t Denver technically have the lead on the head-to-head?
So… I guess Tom Brady’s hand is OK?
Please let the boy trim your grandmother’s beard?
They showed one shot where he was clutching his head in apparent pain right before he went down. So I’d be more worried about an aneurysm.
The Dolphins have suspended guard Richie Incognito. I wonder if he’ll be able to come back and play under another name.
Seriously, though, it sounds like they’re saying that he racially harassed another player and extorted money from him.
