Nice TD drive by the Bears there but holy crap on a cracker, that O line looks bad. The Lions D line literally* looks like the Harlem Globetrotters running circles around the Washington Generals. They need to work some rollouts or something. Maybe they’ll be lucky and be able to take over on the ground, Forte’s been good so far.
Beautiful TD catch by Megatron. I’d like to see the Bears keep him from getting a 2nd one.
I was surprised to see the time of possession in the first half favoring the Bears so highly. I figured it to be about 1/3 for the Bears, 1/3 for the Lions and 1/3 for the officials.
A wildly under reported weakness for the Bears is Tillman at CB. He brings a ton to the table with tackling and awareness, he’s the perfect Tampa 2 CB, but he’s a huge weakness when he’s asked to go man-to-man against anyone good. No one can shut down Megatron, but he’s not even close most of the time.
It’s time the Bears got themselves a really good CB and moved Tillman to Safety. Considering our liabilities there it’s improve 2 positions dramatically. They probably should have been in on the Jonathan Joseph sweepstakes this offseason.
I don’t understand. Last year every time I watched the Bears Cutler was running for his life. This year every time I see the Bears Cutler is running for his life.
What the hell did management do in the off season? How could they possibly not have done something about this? I don’t follow the details but it seems like someone should be fired.
I mean, cutler is capable of some great throws, and has made some tonight. But he’s also made some awful throws, and grounders, and so on. He’s not “outstanding” the way they keep calling him.
Crazy thought. What if the Bears went no huddle the next time Suh’s taking a breather? Or right freaking now already? Their taking too fricking long on this drive.
