NFL Week 5

Nice TD drive by the Bears there but holy crap on a cracker, that O line looks bad. The Lions D line literally* looks like the Harlem Globetrotters running circles around the Washington Generals. They need to work some rollouts or something. Maybe they’ll be lucky and be able to take over on the ground, Forte’s been good so far.

Beautiful TD catch by Megatron. I’d like to see the Bears keep him from getting a 2nd one.

*not literally.

I was surprised to see the time of possession in the first half favoring the Bears so highly. I figured it to be about 1/3 for the Bears, 1/3 for the Lions and 1/3 for the officials.

I’m totally rooting for the Lions, but that call against Urlacher was BS.

There’s this thing, called, “Football” that is being played, and that was a football play.

/first year referee

A wildly under reported weakness for the Bears is Tillman at CB. He brings a ton to the table with tackling and awareness, he’s the perfect Tampa 2 CB, but he’s a huge weakness when he’s asked to go man-to-man against anyone good. No one can shut down Megatron, but he’s not even close most of the time.

It’s time the Bears got themselves a really good CB and moved Tillman to Safety. Considering our liabilities there it’s improve 2 positions dramatically. They probably should have been in on the Jonathan Joseph sweepstakes this offseason.

Does anybody keep something like an “average time until the pocket collapses” stat?

I don’t understand. Last year every time I watched the Bears Cutler was running for his life. This year every time I see the Bears Cutler is running for his life.

What the hell did management do in the off season? How could they possibly not have done something about this? I don’t follow the details but it seems like someone should be fired.

Cutler apologists do.

Dude, I’ve been saying that for years. Jerry Angelo is functionally retarded.

That TD would be called back in the NCAA!

Because Cutler is really stinking up the joint…

Thank Og we’re not watching “amateurs.”

By all means, please continue to confuse “not sucking” with “being good”.

Stat line thus far: 17/22 133 yds 6.0 avg 1 TD 0 INT 106.8 Rating

That’s good. Bordering on great considering the pass protection. You’re exposing yourself.

I mean, cutler is capable of some great throws, and has made some tonight. But he’s also made some awful throws, and grounders, and so on. He’s not “outstanding” the way they keep calling him.

Really? He’s had 5 incompletions, 3 of which were drops. At least try and make sense when you make things up.

They should rename the team the Chicago False Start Bitchfucks

I’m not watching the stats closely, and I admit that’s better than I thought he was. Still does not make him outstanding. (oh look another sack!)

I’m ok with this.

Jesus, the left tackle is destroyed on every single play.

Crazy thought. What if the Bears went no huddle the next time Suh’s taking a breather? Or right freaking now already? Their taking too fricking long on this drive.

I like the 7 step drops on 3rd and 2. That definitely helps out a struggling O-line.
