Can we bring back the replacement refs? At least they had an excuse.
What the fuck? Reggie Wayne just fumbled with 2 seconds left in the game and it looked like he ws down. The play was meaningless, but the refs didn’t review it at all. I know it only counts for fantasy, but what the fuck are the refs doing not looking at it?
And the sloppyness continues.
This is like the Olympic badminton scandal.
I love watching Dallas come up short. (almost posted too soon)
I’m kinda hoping Jim Schwartz finds a way to fuck up the end of this game causing a loss too.
If Philly wins, the home teams will be unbeaten in the 1:00 window.
Ouch
Detroit spoils that. (not that I mind)
Whoops.
RNATB-See the post above yours.
I know I don’t post in the weekly threads enough to get away with talking smack, but after 11 consecutive loses,… The Browns Win !!!
Take that Cincy.
Thank you.
Depressingly poor play from the 49ers, embarrassingly worse is they’re giving up.
Well, their defense played very well until the 4th quarter, and the Niners as a whole dominated the 1st quarter (but failed to come away with more than 3 points). Mostly the problem was lousy QB play against a fired-up defense (playing over its head, probably).
But yeah, Go Blue! Today I will praise the hands of the Giants’ WRs. They lack top-end speed, and they really only have their fair share of *spectacular *plays, but they more than make up for that by making simply a ton of medium-difficult catches look easy.
Jay Feely made a 61 yarder to tie the Arizona/Buffalo game with two minutes left… then missed a 34 yarder to win it. :smack:
Giving up? They gave up early. There is a lot of blame to go around for this one.
Man I love David Akers. Guy is a career 82.1% field goal kicker, but in his 25 games against Big Blue he’s only 67.3%. He even missed 3 extra points against the Giants! (He’s missed 6 in his entire career.) Give that dude a game ball.
Fun day to be a NY football fan, not so much if you’re into baseball. The two teams combined to win their games 61-12. Unfortunately, now that the Giants smacked around one of the contenders for “best team in the league” they’ll get some respect, meaning they’ll stink up the joint (to quote Parcells) next week against Washington. 0-3 in the division, baby. Book it.
Who the fuck prefers commentators babbling at each other over actual football highlights? I’m watching the SNF pregame show, and they just went through the whole day - showing ONE PLAY from each game as their highlight segment. They did this so that the talking egos can spout cliches at each other. Who the hell is it that’s demanding “that’s enough football, I want to watch retards gesticulating at each other and screaming about giving 110%”?
It was certainly not an inspirational win but as a Bills fan, I’ll take what I can get.
The AFC East - four teams with a 3-3 record.
Here we go. Go Toro!
Right after missing badly on a pass to a wide open James Jones, Rodgers hits Nelson in stride with a very nice pass. I think he needed that.
