Wow, talk about a bittersweet day for the Browns. They win, but by doing so they greatly help the struggling Steelers. I’ll take it.
How’s that? Cinci wasn’t going to win the division, the 5-1 team is. Although some important injuries today.
It remains to be seen if Baltimore can get it done. When AFC North games are played anything can happen, and Pittsburgh has had a 7-point lead in every game this season so far, if they ever get it together it’ll change everything. Keeping the Bengals close gives the Steelers a better chance, and once they overcome their struggles that should be good enough for at least a wild card.
Fuck.
The 5-1 team couldn’t have tackled my three year old nephew today - they needed an injured Demarco Murray (and even then they couldn’t stop Felix Jones or some guy who’d never carried the ball before), a timely Romoception and a kickoff return for a TD to come out ahead today. They’re in good shape as far as record goes, but the last two games have shown that you can just run the ball down their throats. Unless they fix the run defense, they’re gonna get toasted week in and week out. They’ll win a few shootouts, but not many close games.
It might be good enough for the division, but not for the playoffs.
A pass wasn’t completed, must’ve been interference. No pass should go incomplete!
I guess Goodell told the refs to use tonight’s game as make up for Green Bay’s loss to Seattle. A fingernail in the neutral zone gets called, but not Watt getting his fucking helmet pulled off by his face mask. We might as well interfere with every pass, the refs are gonna call it no matter what.
Houston’s first TD was scored off a gift PI.
Disemboweling a receiver with both your hands in a reach around is hardly a borderline call. Even my cat yelled pass interference.
I know the refs and Packers are in this together tonight, but do I have to keep seeing them laughing together on the sidelines NBC?
How in the hell did Collinsworth not mention how insanely illegal that pick/block Finley was running on that Nelson drop?
What a massive screw job this game is becoming.
I didn’t notice the pick, but how often do the refs call a pick in that situation? It’s almost legal by default.
The Texans seem to be missing Cushing bigtime.
Oh the refs noticed.
I called it before the field goal that the refs would find some bullshit to call to give Rogers another chance at the touchdown.
Did the refs conspire to make Manning punch the guy 3 times in the face too?
Let me shove my forearm into your windpipe with all my weight and see how you react.
Giggity.
Texans killing themselves with penalties, Packers with drops. I’m not sure how jumping on an offensive lineman is a “bullshit call” though.
What’s surprising is that a Texans fan doesn’t know how to handle his team losing. You’d think he would have a lot of experience with that.
It wasn’t. I’m just pissed because my team is getting their asses kicked. Also the refs are being little shits today, okay.
Yes the Texans are playing crap today, but that last personal foul, that PI call, and that neutral zone call were little pussy-faced nit picky calls that seem designed to give GB an advantage. When those little fleas get called but the refs miss blatantly illegal picks and guys getting their helmets torn off by the facemask it makes you more than wonder. Especially when NBC cuts to the refs laughing it up and practically French kissing Rogers and McCarthy several different times in the second quarter.
