NFL Week 7

Bad new for Vikings fans, as starting CB Chris Cook was arrested for domestic battery and will not play.

The Saints are at home against Indy, looking to bounce back from last week’s loss at Tampa Bay.

GEAUX SAINTS!

I just woke up. Games are underway. Looks like my local TV slate includes Lions/Falcons followed by Vikings/Packers on Fox, Titans/Texans on CBS early, and Saints/Colts on NBC tonight…

Wow the Bucs stink so far. Freeman misses an open Winslow for a first down and their defense lets Forte go basically untouched. Ugly.

I swear, the typical “successful” Browns offensive possession involves them holding on to the ball for 7 minutes and making it to the 38 yard line. It’s just a series of lucky 3rd down conversions.

Ugh. UGH, I say!

It is impressive when you sometimes string together a 15 play 9 minute drive that goes 42 yards. Feels like that anyway.

Defense looking as good as the offense looks bad at least.

The D has looked great, but this is setting up to be some BS 7-6 loss after giving up a fluke score late. As many mistakes as Seattle has made, it should be at least 10-0.

Seattle, Cleveland, Washington, Carolina, Denver and Miami are now halfway through a brilliant ensemble satire of the state of the world’s intellectual discourse. Aggregate score 15-6; 91, 126 and 51 net combined passing yards in each game, respectively.

Oh, Carolina just kicked another field goal. It’s too early to call it, but I don’t think I’m out of order if I say that this is the greatest day in the history of human competition.

Roy Williams got a TD catch. maybe he’s not so bad after all.
Forte has 108 rushing yards in the first half and a TD, but he got a safety getting caught up in the endzone. Bears would be wise to keep feeding him the ball. Oh yeah, and maybe get him a new contract at some point.

What happened to Ford Field?

I only watch him maybe a couple games a year, but Josh Freeman looks bad. Throwing off the back foot, missing guys, stupid interception. Ugh. The lack of the running game and iffy WR’s certainly doesn’t help, but he has not impressed me at all.

The Bears, however, have. They’re taking the Bucs to the woodshed.

Lots of really bad quarterbacking. Tebow, Whitehurst, Moore, Freeman, all completely unimpressive.

Brad Seeley please come back. I’ll make Shurmur suck your dick.

The Dolphins and Broncos had 5 straight series with no first downs and under 15 yards gained combined. Denver has 2 yards net passing for the game and I think the third quarter was a negative. Somehow they still have more first downs than the Seahawks have managed, and the Seahawks aren’t even losing.

So much is happening so fast… it’s all going to take a while to sink in.

Shit. Seattle FG. Calling it now: 3-3 OT tie.

I’m guessing 6-3 Cleveland victory, no OT, on a fourth quarter field goal drive consisting of third down conversion after third down conversion.

Right now (6 min left) Tim Tebow has been sacked five times with only making four completions. Anybody know if anyone has finished an entire game this way? Either way, pretty impressive.

Phil Dawson can make a 52 yard FG with room to spare but can’t kick a touchback. Odd.

Browns are back ahead. New prediction. Special teams TD by Seattle. McCoy has a 2 minute drive to win the game and throws 4 passes all to his rb running a 1 yard route yet being triple covered.

Best special teams in the league to bottom 5, just like that.

: pointing and laughing at Aqib Talib:

Lions are too sloppy for 7 games into the season. We will never be a great team unless the coach tightens up the discipline.
