The Giants have traded CB Eli Apple to the Saints for a 4th round pick in 2019 and a 7th round pick in 2020.
The Saints seem to be shooting for short-term success while Drew Brees is still playing at a high level; they now have only one pick in the first four rounds of next year’s draft.
In a bizarre story, Broncos backup QB Chad Kelly was arrested for criminal trespass. After going to a Halloween party with Broncos players, he was found at 1:00 a.m. on the couch of a young couple “mumbling incoherently”. I’m hoping it’s just maybe a one time illicit drug reaction as opposed to an addiction ala Robert Downey Jr. or a mental illness ala Everson Griffin. He’s a highly talented player, but also, from most accounts I’ve read, a complete asshole. I don’t think this will help his career out much. Although it certainly gives Case Keenum a longer leash to play with.
So let’s see, the 9th overall pick in 2015 Ereck Flowers? Cut. The 10th overall pick in 2016 Eli Apple? Traded for a 4th round pick.
