I doubt if Peyton knew he was within 3 yards of the record but surely he’ll be glad looking back that it didn’t happen in that game.
Missed it, what happened?
Just a poke in the eye. Three Stooges style.
YAAAAY my Colts won! Peyton, I love you man, but this is OUR HOUSE.
Why have I ever rooted for the Eagles?? Bunch of assholes not near the asshole level of L.A., but still, fuck Bradford, where is the injury??
This is the point where I’m rooting for the Browns to lose out, so they can get the top draft pick and get a QB. But no doubt they will get some meaningless wins down the stretch, finish 4-12, draft 5th, and miss out on the top QB prospects. That’s the formula. Bad every year, but never so bad that they can get a top pick.
This reminds me of the year the Colts lost Peyton Manning to his year-long injury. We started out something like 0-13 or 0-14, then we started winning.
“DAMMIT, guys! Don’t blow the top overall pick. Lose. LOOOOOOSE!”
Thankfully we did not blow the top overall pick, and got Andrew Luck.
Does that make me a terrible fan?
Concur. Suh’s ankle stomping held that record for me before, but that Talib move was awful. He damn well better get a suspension for that.
Albert Haynesworth’s stomp should get a spot in the Top 5.
Suh and Talib were both bad, but it’s going to take more than that to beat Albert Haynesworth casually stomping on the helmetless head of Andre Gurode.
Damn it, Superdude!
I hear that a lot.
Nice touch of class at the end of the Giants/Bucs game:
Defensive touchdown ends regulation and wins game. By rule, the scoring team must attempt a try. What do the Giants do? Kneel.
It’s not everyday you see a kneeldown on a PAT, mainly because that situation is so rare.
Hopefully the Bucs learned something from that. (I haven’t forgotten the classless Bucs a couple years ago diving at Eli while kneeling the ball at the end of a game.)
Yeah, he’s going to have a much lighter wallet come next payday. If he even gets paid, I would think that a suspension is a strong possibility.
Are there any top QB prospects? Unless I missed something, there doesn’t look to be a college QB worth drafting in the top 10. Doesn’t mean some teams won’t draft a QB in the top 10 though.
Third time’s the charm!
Weird thing is, Cousins played much better than Brady yesterday. Brady was sailing passes all over the place; his interception was thrown right into the defender’s chest.
Whereas at halftime, Cousins had intentionally thrown one ball away, and had one pass knocked away by the fingertip of a diving defender. Every other pass had hit an open receiver right in the hands. His receivers dropped almost half of those, though, including letting one bounce up into the air for an interception. A couple more drops after halftime, too. Has to be some kind of record for biggest change between raw stats and human-charted-blame-assigned tallies.
I’m not sure what you mean by third time. But the last few QBs were overdrafted end of the first round guys, not the guys you fully commit to. The Browns didn’t even take them with their first picks, which means they can’t have valued them that highly. That’s what I mean - I’m tired of getting second rate QB prospects and want to get a shot at the best available for once.
You already got Manziel. Now quit whining.
2012 - Drafted a QB in the first round
2014 - Drafted a QB in the first round
2016 - ???
I mean, what’s the alternative? “I guess that whole drafting a QB thing isn’t working out for us. Let’s revisit that in a decade or two”
Manziel should start the rest of the season to sink or swim, I’m not counting him out yet, but unless he’s really impressive, I wouldn’t pass on a better QB prospect.
