The Philly/NE line started at 13 and now down to 10. Interesting because I think NE blows the doors off the Eagles with or without Gronk.

And NYJ went from -1 to -2 during the week against the NYG. I’ll take 2 points for the Giants.

Not counting preseason (people bet on preseason?), this is the first time this season the Bears have been the favorite.

I don’t know how to feel about this.

woo hoo Green bay!

Even if it was the ugliest win they have had, it was exciting. (Kinda makes up for that Seattle loss with the replacement refs.)

A miracle win doesn’t cure the issues they have, but maybe it can help find the cure.

I am only a casual NFL watcher, I am blogging with another guy that insisting that Jameis Winston is the front runner for the Rookie of the Year.

Does he really have a chance? or is it hometown homerism?

Who do the Teeming Millions think will be the NFL Rookie of the Year

As one of the TV guys mentioned, had Rodgers thrown that pass in Dallas, the ball would’ve hit the ginormous TV screens hanging over the field. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one like it before.

Detroit appears to be the team that ends up on the wrong side of the breaks week in and week out.

So every year the Browns win some bullshit game or two at the end of the season that turns their season from 3-14 to 4-12 or 5-11. It takes their draft position from #1-3 to #5-10. They can never quite fail hard enough to get a top draft pick. People will get all judgemental about it and say “you can never root for your team to lose!”, but does anyone look back at pointless wins in the last few years and cherish those garbage end of the year wins, or would you rather have Andrew Luck?

So I want them to lose at this point, but I can’t actually actively sit here and take joy in the losing. It’s not like I can cheer every time they fumble the ball or lose in some retarded way.

And yet I feel some stupid obligaton to continue watching them, I can’t just skip this year.

So here I watch, not wanting them to win, not actively rooting for them to lose or taking any joy in it, dead inside.

He definitely has a chance. The Bucs have a couple of wins this year over teams they couldn’t have beaten without him. It’s between him, Amari Cooper, and Todd Gurley - although I don’t know if missing a quarter of the season will help or hurt Gurley.

Or maybe not. Looks like it’s winding down to an exciting ending.

Washington is in first place. How the hell did that happen?

I think the Gints are playing for a good draft pick. How else could they lose so many games in the fourth quarter? It’s like they don’t want to win.

Punt with 20 seconds left, or lose a fumble with 1:02 left. Guess which option the Eagles went with.

Well, they won anyway.

Panthers go to 12-0! They came out flat in this game and had 3 early turnovers. The Saints put up a good fight and the lead went back and forth until the end. Newton is playing great football. The defense didn’t play up to their usual level today but they found a way to pull it out.

Eeeee is for EAGLES!! Whoooooooo!

(does cute Locrian victory dance, is not stopping)

Do you not remember 2010, when Seattle won the NFC-W at 7-9? Or 2014, when Carolina won the NFC-S at 7-9? Looks like the NFC-E will be this season’s red-headed-step-child.

Carolina was 7-8-1 last year.

I’m not horribly surprised by somebody winning the division at 7-9, or maybe even worse. I’m surprised at Washington doing it.

( still … doing … the victory dance… )

Nice to see Oakland back to its self-destructive ways. They were scaring me a bit, but penalties and interceptions put the game out of reach.
