254 + 29 :o + 89 = 372
Bah.
This week: Tony Romo, Adrian Peterson, Mike Sims-Walker
ETA: Just realized my picks are almost identical to Varlos’. Let’s go Frank Gore instead of AP.
I’ll go ahead and get the new spreadsheet going. If you have yardage totals you haven’t posted yet, please do that now.
Does anyone know a good site to get a quick listing of the box score? NFL.com is slow and clunky.
I have most of the spreadsheet put together, just need to add a few tweaks later and an overall score thing. But so you can see everyone’s picks and scores I’ll put up what I’ve got now. Since the links should always point to the most up to date version of the document, you can always just use these links to see the same data. That is… so long as I end up updating the google docs pages.
Last year I just had excel export the spreadsheet into an html format and hosted it on my ISP page with the personal webspace they give, but the upload function to that is broken ATM, so I decided to try out google docs. It’s kind of cool and actually if we wanted to we could make it a collaborative document and everyone could enter their own data. I don’t mind doing it though (especially if people post their own results to the thread) but it’s a cool feature.
Anyway, here’s the spreadsheet itself and here’s a published web format of it. I’ll fix it up later.
Oh, and I added both the raw score and adjusted scoring amounts to the totals below each player listing. The number below the player names column is the unadjusted score, and the number below the yardage column is the adjusted score.
Still need week 3 picks in for a lot of people.
Matt Schaub
Adrian Peterson
Miles Austin
Used:
Chad Henne, Philip Rivers
Frank Gore, Maurice Jones-Drew
Steve Smith (CAR), Mark Clayton
Week 3:
Tony Romo
Adrian Peterson
Marques Colston
Frank Gore has 16 yards on eight carries. Who are these people and what have they done with the Chiefs?
QB : Peyton Manning
RB: Ladanian Tomlinson
WR: Antonio Gates
Okay, he’s got 140 total yards now. Too bad only 40 of them are rushing.
284 + 160 + 20 = 464 (322 modified).
So, it seems we’re back to this. I can pick QBs and RBs better than most, but my WR picks just suck out loud.
Romo 284 + Gore 43 + Sims-Walker 34 = argh. I mean, 361
Boy, good thing you decided to swap out Adrian Peterson so as not to follow me.
I would have made out pretty well if I made Gore my receiver…
I need picks for tomorrow, and don’t forget to list how your starters did this week.
I’m gonna try to get around to fixing the spreadsheet formatting and stuff. I got civ 5 this week and haven’t done much non-essential stuff.
Aaron Rodgers
Arian Foster
DeSean Jackson
Week 3 totals:
284 + 160 + 25 = 469
Week 4 Picks:
Used:
Chad Henne, Philip Rivers, Tony Romo
Frank Gore, Maurice Jones-Drew, Adrian Peterson
Steve Smith (CAR), Mark Clayton, Marques Colston
Matt Hasselbeck
Rashard Mendenhall
Brandon Marshall
Aaron Rodgers
Cedric Benson
Andre Johnson
Rodgers isn’t getting many yards because the end zone keeps stopping his receivers…
Johnson is gimped. Pick again.
