I wouldn’t mind if you repicked someone from the night games since Johnson didn’t start his game, but if anyone from the league objects to that I’d respect that too. I didn’t notice that Arian Foster was apparently suspended for 1 quarter for missing a meeting or some shit. Grumble.
We still need picks from Varlos, MadTheSwine, and Bootis. Picking from the night games is better than a 0.
What a mess this week. Vick goes down and with him any chemistry with DeSean Jackson. Looks like I’m getting a whole 6 yards out of that one.
Rodgers put up 150 yards in the first quarter it seemed like, then took the rest of the game off. Don’t know wtf that was.
At least Foster performed well, but could’ve been better if he weren’t suspended for a quarter of the game…
Of course that still puts me ahead of you people who haven’t entered picks yet … Get them in, there are still games to pick. Even if you miss this week you won’t be totally crippled - you get to drop your worst week, so you can still put in a full 16 game season with the rest of us.
Seriously though, I don’t really know how to handle a wrong pick like that. I don’t see a problem with letting you repick but if there are objections let’s talk about it.
Crip, crap, fuck. I managed to grab 5 minutes to do my thing in the pick 'em leagues this morning before I had to take my little brother to a high school fair, but I totally forgot about this league. Oh well, at least I have some decent options.

Ironically, your anal-ness contributed to my forgetting to make picks. I logged in to the SDMB very briefly, and saw that I had PMs from you, but didn’t bother looking at them because I knew that they were pick 'em reminders. If the reminders weren’t a weekly event (for those of us who put everything off until the last minute), I would’ve read them and seen the reminder specific to the yardage pool.
So, yeah, totally your fault.
Oh, and that I only had a few moments to make picks worked out great for me in the spread pick 'em league. Without time to actually stop and think about my picks, I had to resort to my default selection for every game, which is to take the underdog. Well, 'dogs covered 9 out of 13 today, and since most people mostly pick favorites, I have the highest score for the week (so far), and made up a lot of ground against the field. Of course, I’m taking the favorite (NE) in the Monday Night game, so I’m sure I’ll get a kick in the ass from karma.
Nah, I’m mostly just kidding. At least once this season your reminders actually reminded me to make picks when I had totally forgotten. They’re appreciated.
I forgot to mention this but notfrommensa sent me a PM saying he wouldn’t be able to continue this year.
I’m gonna work on cleaning up the spreadsheet and updating it as soon as I stop playing civ 5 for 17 hours a day. If you have any pending unscored players please post them.
Damn, I wasn’t thinking, I really shouldn’t gone with Henne. He was going against the weaker defense, and was more likely to be playing from behind. More importantly, I wouldn’t have wasted Brady on a play against a pretty good defense.
QB: [del]Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, Tony Romo, Tom Brady[/del]
RB: [del]Chris Johnson, Steven Jackson, Adrian Peterson, Ronnie Brown[/del]
WR: [del]Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, Miles Austin, Brandon Marshall[/del]
Is the new format too jumbled with the adjusted and unadjusted totals? Seems like there might be too many numbers there and I may just eliminate the unadjusted totals to clear it up. Any formatting suggestions?
The totals at the bottom don’t account for the dropped week yet.
Total score (not counting dropped week yet - I can start including it whenever though, but using adjusted QB yards)
VarlosZ 1231
SenorBeef 1156
RNATB 1105
Omni 978
Bootis 975
MadTheSwine 607
MadTheSwine hasn’t made picks the last two weeks so I assume he’s given up on us but I won’t remove him quite yet.
[del]Peyton Manning, Ronnie Brown, Chad Ochocinco, Drew Brees, Brandon Jackson, Santana Moss, Tony Romo, Frank Gore, Mike Sims-Walker, Aaron Rodgers, Cedric Benson, Brandon Marshall[/del]
Eli Manning, MJD, Steve Smith 2.0
Cool, even after my fucked up stinker last week I’m still in first. Although I need to work on my method for picking WRs, I think I’m probably the best at this game among our group.
(That’s my attempt at smack talk. Again, I’m not very good at it.)
