Man, I had to go out of my way to not have an awesome week this week. I had narrowed my QB choice down this week to McNabb, Romo, and Rivers. I decided that based on strength of schedule and weather issues, it’d be best to get McNabb out of the way first now that he was playing in a dome against a beat up secondary. I was spot on with my RB/WR picks (best RB this week, 6th best receiver) and if ended up going with Rivers like I almost did, my score for the week would be an awesome 630.
Instead I got McNabb, who was actually ripping up the falcons until they pulled him in the third quarter so that Michael Vick could take a shit on the city of Atlanta. If he would’ve stayed in he would’ve had 300+ yards and my day still would’ve been good.

It seems like we have 10 or 12 300+ yard passers every week, and I’ve only gotten 3 all year. It would actually be hard to achieve that if that were your goal - I bet if we had a “pick the starting QB with the lowest yardage every week” competition you couldn’t do as well as I have at picking bad weeks for good quarterbacks.

Goddamn it, I can not pick a WR. This makes six weeks out of 13 in which my receiver has gone for less than 25 yards. Also, I should not that my scores last week were (392 + 115 + 19 = 526).

I would just like to reiterate my rage! My final choice came down to McNabb/Rivers/Romo, and had I picked either of the other two, I’d have had a great week 649 or 630 yards. I would own 2 of the top 2 or 3 scoring weeks in the league. BLAH! McNabb might’ve got up there too if he wasn’t pulled in the third quarter. My ability to narrow it down to 2-4 players and then always get it wrong is impressive.

VarlosZ, Please spare me your wide receiver woes, look how I have done. I pick Welker last week and he gets 33 yds. Week before, he gets 170 yds; Week after he gets 170 yds. And I can seem to pick Running Backs either.

Here we go. Emptying the last big gun I have left in Johnson (though I might swap him out before gametime if it looks like it’s going to rain). Aside from Roethlisberger at QB, I’m stuck with really mediocre options the rest of the way.
Why would you pull Johnson because of rain? They’ll lean on the run even more if it rains.
