NHL 103 - October 2019 - Let's Do That Hockey!

Or maybe they won’t lose great players to PMC oligarchs who want to floss their teeth with the hair of their conquests.

Knights outscored San Jose 9-2 in two games.

they’re showing a replay of one of the games. I know Vegas is a good team, but man, the Sharks can’t get out of their own way.

Was gonna post the following, and then decided naaa, last May, but then, after seeing the stat, below it…

Quite the oodles of coaching experience in the assistant coaches that new Flyers coach Alain Vigneault will have - Michel Therrien (Habs, Pens) and Mike Yeo (Wild, Blues [albeit 19 in SL]). Sure, head coaches go into assistant coaching jobs, but this is pretty beefy, along with returning AC Ian Laperriere, who’s been with the organization for ten years - pretty solid core. This is AV’s fourth team he’s head coached.
Saw this on NBC’s Prague game (where Hart let in one or two stinkers), so, no linky:

Coaching experience, in games:
Philly - 2,512
Florida - 1,768
Pittsburgh - 1,759
NYI - 1.606
NYR - 1,576

Interesting true factoid: the Sharks are a combined -3 on the PP to start the season. Minus three.

What a KICKASS birthday present for Mario Lemieux! (Happy Birthday Super Mario!)

The downside is, Malkin’s probably going to be on LTIR. :frowning:

There are rumours flying around that Robert Kraft might buy the Sens.

Ottawa probably does have loser laws about visiting the old rub-n-tug.

Mantha, Mantha, Mantha.

4 Goals in the home opener, and it’s only 6 years after I declared him a no-miss Hall of famer during the Red Wings draft.

Canes win a third OT in a row, go 3-0 for the first time ever.

yeah my sister and I were there. it was nuts. the first period was lackluster; I was thinking “here we go again, they forgot how to play” but Blashill must have chewed a few guys’ asses off. 'course they got a lot of help from Dallas; two “too many men on the ice” penalties is inexcusable. especially if you commit one while already shorthanded.

Yeah, that was hard to watch from the other side, but good job!

So, the Stars start out 0-3. Ugh.

Hey Guin,

What’s the skinny on Malkin’s injury? How bad is it?

Well, the Stars finally win the first out of their four hard games to start the season, and do it in style. Seguin stripping Ovi and going to the other end with a give-and-go to Radulov was a pretty sweet way to win a horse race of a game.

And I’ve been really impressed by the youngsters Dallas called up. Caamano first NHL goal tonight was pretty, and Gardner’s been damn good on the PK.

And Hintz is on track to score 82 goals.

So, for a .25 record topped with a bunch of injuries, it ain’t so bad.

Yes, the Stars game was fun but nerve-wracking. I too am impressed with Caamano and Gardner. However, I am sorry that we here in Cedar Park will probably not get to see Roope Hintz playing with the Texas Stars again. We get to say we knew him when, though.

Canes score 4 in the 1dt, chase Bob, and go 4-0 for the 1st time ever. Only 94 points to go.

Hehehe, nope. I don’t think he’ll be back other than to visit. I know I’ve only seen a few games with the others, but if they keep it up they might not be back either.

ETA: And nerve wracking games are the best hockey games. The last game of the Dallas-St. Louis series last playoffs was the best.

Nerve-wracking games are great: WHEN WE WIN!

Nice to see Shattenkirk return from the dead with the Lightning.

Getting ready to watch the Wings, leafs game, and one question hangs palpably in the air.
Why does Austin Mathews choose to look like an understudy in a porn video?

Bwahaha.
